First pot overdose ever (pg. 2)

blargh that bastard ruined it for everyone:whip:

lol with all seriousness however, his death doesnt seem that farfetched, as anyone can easily overdose on absolutely any substance. what i find odd about the article is that they dont tell how much THC was found in his system. if the man was smoking alot, one after the other, he could have just died from smoke inhalation rather than cabinnoid poisoning. since we dont know exactly what happened (that seems to be the case more and more often with just about everything nowadays:rolleyes: ) i cant see how im or anyone else for that matter is supposed to just accept this face value
DJ Nuclear
That seems off. All they showed is that the man died with a high level of cannabis in his blood; nothing in the article says anything about how the level of THC D-9 is his blood lead to his death.

I doubt the ingestion route would have cause the death either because it's generally very safe.

I onced passed out from canabis too when i was younger..but it was a mixture of heat stroke and just being stoned

Well I'm guessing ppl who do this start off with just a few a day and as all drugs work, they need more and more to get high and wanting to get high so bad...they'll smoke whatever the amount necessary.

Lots of heroin addicts say they're deathly scared of needles too but doesn't matter if you're dependent/addicted to something. Good thing about pot is that its not very habit forming...you have to smoke often before you can develop a problem.

Its not how much u smoke over time (months, years, etc.). Its mainly how much weed is taken in a single dosage. It doesnt matter how much u've done in the past....... let cancer take care of that.

Like the article said..... he must have ate a hella amount of brownies or something. Thats the only way u'd be able to get that much THC in your system at one given time.

There have been many published cases of cannabis poisoning and until now apparentely nobody has died. So the guy suffered a bout of cannabis poisoning and his body couldn't take it anymore ... who cares? The death rate is still negligeble compared to nearly anything else on the face of the planet, but why deny it can happen?

I mean really, I'm all for the legalization of most drugs, and especially pot, but many of its supporters make it out to be the safest drug/element since the dawn of man.

I completely agree with you here, Cheney. Cannabis is certainly not a killer substance, but taking anything in excessive amounts is harmful and can potentially lead to death.

i think i should be dead too.. not so much for my in-week consumption (although that has dropped recently) but from my weekend frolics. after ive been out, we often go back to somones house, and literally smoke ourselves into the floor, often coming in from the club at 7am and smoking until past 8pm on numerous occasions, and i mean spliff after spliff after spliff, as soon as one is dead we get started on constructing another one.

im not dead, yay!

yeh i read about that over sum1's shoulder on the train the other day, interesting, its a bit like if you smoke normal cigarettes that much you will be risking a bit of death.

b-s-e: they died from an overodse of the chemicals in cannabis, if they had died from lung cancer or another disease caused by smoking it wouldnt be in the paper.
