no no i didnt bash house, I said it isnt trance personally I enjoy house i know Sander is house Danny H is prog and Danny T is prog/house/tribal, thats not the point but when you go out and say that dj sammy skribble jonathan peters and what not are TRANCE djs and they are the BEST djs in the world then something is obviously wrong with you. As far as bashing house I am not and as far as wearing AX Diesels UFO's are concerned its not that i bash it but when you throw logos around it doesnt make you cooler then the next guy thats the point im trying to throw across

They are young and just need to be educated a little
Show them the way, but don't diss them or force your tastes on them.

i think the term 'cheese' should be banned from the tranceaddict forums and anyone who uses it should be on suspension for a week. and if they continue to use it they should have their account revoked. its very annoying. who cares if it hits semi-mainstream status on the radio station, and a lot of people are saying they like it. its better than people saying they like that hardcore rap that is out nowadays... haha, i guess im being somewhat hypocritical about the rap stuff, but this is a trance forum, not a rap one, so it. i hate that stuff...:whip:
MOVE BITCH
GET OUT THE WAY
GET OUT THE WAY BITCH
GET OUT THE WAY
I SAID MOVE BITCH...
blah blah blah, id take someone doing the 'do do dodo doo doo' to sandstorm over that stuff any and every day.

you think stuff like this happens in every group? like during the hippie era. were there hippies that got mad at other 'poser' hippies. like by labeling someone else a poser promotes their own status. and the rap people, and country, and rock, and punk, everyone. hell it probably happens in every faction, politics, sports, art.... the sad, real part is, that this stuff will probably continue to the end of humanity, cause people need someone to bash and to feel superior to. i know i like feeling superior to people, it makes me smile. :happy2:

First off,

You New Yorkers are so lucky to have a Dance/Top 40 Station like 103.5KTU. I don't know why you all complaining about. We here at Maryland/DC have a 3 hours Dance Mix Show on 99.1 WHFS, the rest is all Hip-Hop and RnB even Country.

Secondly, I do agree that DJ Sammy or Ian van Dalh's stuff is cheese, but thats something that a newbie can learn from. I am sure there are bunch s whos pumping Darude-Sandstorm in their car is the . "Just when you think you are the best, someone comes up and prove you are wrong"

Thats all.

Now some of you are thinking wtf is this, and some of you are thinking this may be interesting, well lets just get it started with about what trance isn't. Trance is not DJ Sammy, Dj Skribble, Jonathan Peters, Darude (old time I havent heard the new album yet), Chemical Brothers, 666, Crystal Method, Anthony Acid, or anything ele you would hear on KTU (aside from the fact that Crystal Method, and Chemical Brothers are respectable they are still NOT trance). By far I have become rather annoyed with the teenagers of NYC claiming to be TranceAddicts when they feel that "Castles in the Sky" is by far the best track they have ever heard, but we as TAs know that this by far is the cheesiest track next to Dj Sammy's "Heaven" ever made. Another thing I would like to address, KTU is by far the worst radio station I have ever heard on the face of this planet, switching from rap to dance to R&B to just the cheesiest music I ever heard, so when I do hear teenagers say "OMG I HEARD THE CRAZIEST TRANCE SONG ON KTU IN THE WORLD LAST NIGHT, I THINK IT WAS NAMED "Nobody is Supposed to Be Here~Deborah Cox"" I really just want to shoot them in the head and say why make such fools of yourselves. Lets take it to another level now, Exit2, Hunkabunka, Abyss, Webster Hall, Copacabana, Panache, and SOUNDFACTORY are not the best clubs in the world they are just filled with the easiest girls (and yes if you go there you are probably easy) and foremost THEY ARE NOT TRANCE CLUBS THEY PLAY HOUSE, AND CHEESE DANCE. Ahhh yess now most of you are thinking where the is the point here, Well ill be glad to get into it, I have by far been sick of hearing "YOU DONT KNOW WHAT TECHNO/TRANCE IS YOU HAVE NEVER EVEN BEEN TO SOUNDFACTORY AND YOUR NO DJ EITHER....I HEARD YOUR STUFF AND WHO THE IS MATT DAREY AND PAUL VAN DYK (first two names to come to mind)...", I have rested my case with that statement alone, Yes I am not a DJ, but being 17 and have stepped into clubs like Roxy, Arc, Avalon NY and Boston, and Space in Miami, I have seen what all sorts of DJs (Danny Howells, Danny Tenaglia, Sander Kleinenberg, PVD...) and have a pretty good definition to what trance music is. So for all you SF whores, and DJ Skribble fans please stop posting here posing as Tranceaddicts including you 16-21 "guinea" AX and Diesel wearing (no racism intended) beefcake boys who think that the only great DJ in the world is Jonathan Peters, Skribble, Anthony Acid, and Junior Vasques (although they are NY Legends the common misconception is they dont spin trance they spin dance and house), we dont like you and this board is not for you :whip:. And for those of you who have heard this same thing from people from coming onto this board, and a few from other clubs you all understand me when i say N00Bs =).

::End Rant::

For a 17 year old kid, you're sure know everything don't you... Why don't you stop bothering people who like that kind of music and let them enjoy themselves... What are they doing to you to make you so ing bitter... Maybe once you get a little older you'll understand that not everyone in the world likes trance and would like to listen to something else...
Those djs you mention are all great DJ's and w/o dj's like Vasquez, Tenaglia etc... you'd be listening to hip hop at the clubs in NYC and not dance... It's because of these DJ's NY has a scene... So get off your high horse and go expand your mind by listening to something other than trance....

As for KTU, you should be counting your blessings that you have a station that plays any dance music!!!! Most of the country has no option at all.... If you don't like it then TURN IT OFF!!! I'm sure you have a bunch of downloaded music you can listen to...

GOD I hate pretentious pricks!

Phazon
Yes, Ozzie does pretend to know everything. But it seems as if you are the one whos bothered by what he said. Did he hit your soft spot? Are you a greaseball Factory groupie? Do you apply a truckload of wax and gel to your sky high spikes? Wear sunglasses at night along with your baby sisters tank-top? Do the Factory 2-step dance with fellow juiceheads while throwing your empty d-bol bottles at the dj? Than leave the club looking like drugged death in your wasted $250 cockDiesel jeans while blasting Rich Luzzi's - Without U and thinking about how you just had the best night of your life...Thats priceless! And dont worry, we'll turn off our radio's but keep your crankin' full-force cause we like laughing at you clowns.
janieliza
no hes not the only one annoyed....Castles is one of my favorite songs, so does this mean I know nothing about trance?

(Answer is no....thanks)

Dont generalise so much....I would take a teen who likes DJ Sammy and what you call cheese, over one who is trying to be some gangsta rapper and into 50 Cent wearing his pants all off his ass, ANY DAY! If they like some EDM, Chances are they will like what you think is good as well, as said above educaet them :)
(yes i see typo heh i'm leaving it)
