Hehehe... synth programming addict as I am,
I couldn't resist to try and improve the sound on z3ta+
I also turned on 2x oversampling:
Cygnus2x.mp3
I'm not really trying to prove something here,
but I just like experiment with fat sounds from software..
(Hmm makes me think... I should have added some random
pitch behaviour... hmmm let's see.... :gsmile: )
By the way , I think the not so good reverb in z3ta causes some probs.
Trancenrg69., any nice Z3ta+ demo's?

That sounds great ccpurno, and if it wasn't for the fact that I have the exact same clip made on a JP8080 I'd say it sounded exactly like the real thing. There's just something about that JP sample that rb posted though that's so ****ing FAT, it doesn't need all of the high frequencies that yours has to have that rich sound.
Man, I want some hardware! |

ccpurno, nice attempt :), but still nowhere near the jp8080. I had posted a little clip i did with zeta a few days ago
http://nodrugsrequired.250free.com/fireball.mp3
dj-sean, the reason the jp can sound so phat is because it has performance mode, its 2 part multitimbral so you can combine 2 presets and make one hell of a phat lead. Only thing is the jp has ty effects . I can't wait to route the virus effects to the jp, gonna sound killer.
I little tip for those with izotope ozone. requires a powerful pc. Choose the preset "dance master with exiter and widner" i think thats what its called . fool around with the settings and insert it into the zeta as an effect. closest to hardware your gonna get :) |

People, let's not lose perspective here - I have literally just been going through my tunes going "hardware" and "software" ( talking about which tunes were written on which) but these samples are pro and anyone buying a tune not into production wouldn't tell the difference.
Perhaps a pointless post but I just think sometimes people can get obsessed with the next best thing and not making the most of what they've got.
I've heard the Guyver samples trancemaster was talking about and they kick absolute arse - they were the reason I bought Vaz2010 in the first place.
EDIT: Nice to see Ozone getting a little 'spect!!

Sure you didn't cut up the Cygnus-x song?? :D :D
I guess it's z3ta+ too.. ?
I hope you can post the preset file so that we can learn a bit..

Sorry guys, it's own written software.
I won't share this and you cannot hack my computer for it, because it's not connected to the internet. :D |

| you mean: you used a selt-written vsti for this cool sound or is it a self-written patch for a vsti? really nice quality! |

| Doesn't matter which program, have made almost exactly the same sound with Reason. It's all about the brains of the producer, not the program. |
