I already married a Korean!!
At least the Korean was female instead of male, asswipe. You're mixing apples and oranges. You can't compare same sex marriages with marriages across racial or ethnic lines when they involve opposite sexes.

Apples and oranges? You mean like, you're an apple and a homosexual is an orange "because you're not like them".
You need to read this it was posted Nov 9th, 2001. Glad to see that people actually evolve with the times. |

i was going to write a more explanatory response, but this guy is too dense. not worth my time to articulate something he won't get.
nice location btw |
Right, like you're a genius. Show me a homo marriage and I'll show you a short lived bloodline...

Whoa! You should get out there and spread that message! If you're gay, you can't have kids! That's new. Are you going to teach these same values to your child? I'll show you an ignorant bloodline. |

IMO its beyond me why anyone would willing want to get married, gay or straight.:p whatever though, gay marriage hardly affects my life in any possible way, why not allow it? The whole agruement against it is a weird one too, how can they deny that their whole stance isnt soley based on conservative religious beliefs? Whatever happened to the seperation of church and state? totally outrageous to have to hear so much controversy over such a trivial matter |
I agree. And the words that the thread starter uses to describe gay people reveal his true feelings. You can gloss over things and say you are protecting the "sanctity" of marriage, but most of us know the real ideology behind those kinds of euphemisms. “Sanctity” is also a religious word, and religion should have no place in government. ;) |

Civil unions are, which are like marriages but don't have the same name. |

You really think homosexuals can reproduce??? When homo males copulate the only things I've heard of being produced are a sore and a big turd. So which one are you?

Ah I see. I had read on some religious right website that gay marriage was legal in Canada now. What ever happened to, "Thou shalt not bear false witness?"
I guess they don't believe in that one, and care more about "homo bashing."
:D
I was about to say I thought it should be up to individual states (gay marriage), but then I remembered Al Sharpton's speech the other week. He talked about how the "states rights" mantra was used to defend slavery, about how it was used to defend segregation, and about how it was used to defend denying a person the right to vote because of the color of their skin.
Now federalism has its place, but when it comes to human rights, it comes in second in terms of priority every time.

That's the same as here!
I'm sure there are even churches in Georgia that will marry gays (at least in Atlanta).
This is why it's so stupid that the state denies marriage rights, when so many churches are ahead of the curve!:) :p |
