wow whatta nite!!
I wanted to do something a little different by going out with a BANG this time around, and put together a lineup that featured elements of nuskool breaks, progressive, housey prog, tribal, tech-trance, and techno. Fortunately, the TA's never let me down and I have had the good fortune of receiving just some of the most amazing demos from some extremely talented people that I've met off this site. Great seeing all the usual suspects out as well (you all know who you are) as well as some new faces which is always a pleasant surprise. shouts out to the Pope and his bishop who managed to make it out as well and most especially partyprincess! u stayed till the end girl!.. hardcore troopah!
All in all i hope everyone had a great time. It was a lot of fun partying in that new VIP room which took a little getting used to at the start of the night, but slowly grew on me as the evening progressed. Unfortunately, no event is a perfect event, and there we had our fair share of complications throughtout the night, but hopefully everyone still had a good time in the end. It was a pleasure as always being able to work with JOhn (E2EK1EL) again on this one and I thank him for giving me the opportunity to showcase some of the amazing talent that we have on here.
I want to give a huge thanks to all the DJ's tonite: Steve (sohaness), Tommy (TomEboy), Harch (pseudocoder/djsauce), Jer (Mr.Rogers), KEvin&Curtis (KevinEarth/WalterMindz). Believe me guys, it gives me just as much satisfaction having you guys play and seeing your faces light up. You definately all deserve it!
A big shout also goes out to the DeepGroove guys: Alex and Ariel for all your help and support for without this wouldn't be possible!
As some of you know, this was my last TA Invasion lineup for the series thus far (i had done the last 3), and John will be back to managing the lineups for the next set of future events indefinately. I've just been very busy lately with work and school which I'm only about a month and half away from graduation. so i'd also like to spend more time on this while John takes the helm again.
Thanks again to everyone for all their support not just for me, but for all our DJ's and this community!!

what a night...good seeing everyone again.....thanks for having me emery and JOHN I really I appreciate it...I had a really good time up there and it was good to see everyones faces light up and mouths drop to the floor when they realized every dj there could mix without a monitor....that was truely amazing...:D ....even besides the odd semi-trainwreck...like mine for instance..but I won't get into that with detail cause it didn't happen...* cough * ehhhhemmmm
great sets ...MeesterRogers played a kickass set, I had to minus a track out of my set because of his wonderful ear for techno...and Walter Mindz well....I hear him spin everyday and I'm quite sick of it actually...nooooooonoooooooo I'm kiddding BRO...GOOD MAN...YOU ROCKED IT NICELY
and as far as myself goes...well, I played wonderfully spectacular despite the technical difficulties, and nofx ( too cocky ) ....but besides that.. hehe...from an event that was supposed to be cancelled....jimmy hats off for making it happen boys ...well done

i really wanted to go to this... but as usual having to work every sat morning doesn't allow for it...
sounds like i missed out on another great night... i'm happy that the event didn't get cancelled :D

i've always wondered why a club like system wouldn't have a monitor in there vip room... hopefully that'll get fix sometime in the near future...
Steve (sohaness) rocks... i ended up catching all of your set online... loved the tracks and the programing... wicked flow... i hope all of the sets were recorded and get posted sometime this weekend... i'd really like to hear all of them... the line up for this event looked really good :eyes: |
