Farken uni.
Double degree. 5th year. Major in arts, completed.
Minor in arts, completed.
Major in Commerce, 2 subjects left.
Commerce prerequisites, completed.
Now, I have to take some 'electives' in the arts. Fair enough, however for some reason I'm not allowed to do criminology and am allowed to take sociology. I want, no, ELECT to do both but oh no, apparently i've done something wrong in a past life thats limiting my options in this compulsory 'elective' thing.
Bah. |

^^^^ you people shouldn't bash other unis.
I go to a very presitgious one, to be honest I'd rather go to Flinders to be honest, more laid back people and atmosphere. I get ultra competive nerds with no lives or rich kids with no brains (or soul).
They are Vanllia carbord, (plain and boring) people.
I go back next week to start my PhD, I got to say being an undergrade sucks.
80 percent of all students are female?
Arts right?!
I got 60/40 Female/male population, guess which faculity? :) |

Nope, psychology :D Girls arn't dumb enough to enrol in arts. It's the guys who barely make the cutoff who make in into arts (sorry for anyone who's studying arts:nervous: )

i wanna bitch about uni too...
what is wrong with my uni??? when everyone else is about to go back, i'm recovering from a week of avoiding class.
and to make matters worse, we can't even smoke while we are avoinding class. my uni has decided that you can't smoke withing a certain distance of the buildings. its like smoking at the back of the oval at high school again. grr. :whip:
on the up side, ive been doing soc for the past two years and i managed to stay awake for the whole lecture for the first time

Science lol, actually chem anti-cancer drug design, so med too. There's running joke at one of the other unis "the lower the UAI the harder the course" lol

Arts lol, had to do arts subjects, damn those people need a course on personal hygine or something. I had so much fun though, 30 hippy communist versus capitalist scientist, in a arts subject about science. Real fun subjects, lecturers absolutly love me! I brought real facts about scicene and beat arts students at their own game :) So much so I got an offical warning about my abusive, rude and intimidating behavour towards to the students :)
Psychology, I use to work for another uni and went to the sepreate psycology/nusing/biomed campus. It was simply the best, a workman(me) at a chick campus :)
Bad news I got fired so not doing any work a few weeks later lol :) |

Being at uni is like being in the womb. You're safe, sheltered, protected, everything is warm and fuzzy. Nice n easy
Oh how that changes :D |

i cannot believe you people complain about uni, unless things have changed a lot since I left. The wonderfully liberating experience of bagging the wannabe student politicians, who always seemed to be there when you first arrived, and are still doing the same undergrad course when you leave. The placement of the pub at the opposite end of campus from the arts and medical faculties, ensuring the far more correct balance of engineers. The lack of consequences from leaving any given class to go drinking.
Sure, the lecturers who take rolls at lectures, force you to buy the text book they wrote, and then read it back to you suck a bit, as does exam periods. all up that's a pretty favourable balance tho |
