The real world? :o In the real world, you get paid $800 + a week to sit on your ass all day, while an automated program does all the work for you. ;) :whip: :nervous: |

Being at uni is like being in the womb. You're safe, sheltered, protected, everything is warm and fuzzy. Nice n easy
Oh how that changes :D |
diasagree completely.
Ive done both, and uni life is harder then working.
Having to juggle a miniscule budget to cover all living expenses and then worry about studying is tougher than having a regular income.
I prefer uni life though, as it makes things a lot more interesting, and "real world"? Its stupid, ppl who think having a job makes anything more real at all. |

Yes very very true :eyes:
Been there done that before UNI, then after and remebered why I went to uni in the first place! i.e the pointless and repeative unchallaging nature of the real world really sucks, its very easy to become a "wage slave" like my friends. Simply working to exist :sadgreen:

It's precisly that, you get paid to do things that are pointless. It got to me after a while, just like a centerlink worker :whip:
I complain about the people at uni but I really shouldn't workforce is worse, at least at uni you have so many people the same age and good looking too!
At least at uni now I get paid (20k tax free), it aint much but considering its something and somewhere I actually like its good enough :)
Its a good racket if your doing something with a future |

First day today and boy did it start with a bang. Rocked up to the tutorial 20 mins late and then tutor (who almost failed me last semester) says "Oh no, its mister I'm always off my head. How did u manage to enrol in this tutorial? I will make it my mission to see that you enrol in another tutorial because I'm simply not gunna put up with you this semester".
So I get kicked out of my first class first tutorial of the new semester.
I love uni, I never wanna leave! |

I will not appreciate cause uni sux the preverbial WANG! The only thing that makes uni that whole lot more bearable is the occasional hordes of beautiful women that will grace our tutorials and lectures. Otherwise as packa would say " UNI CAN GET ROT "
ps. LMAO @ escee. Like totally. |

well, if cheerleaders appreciate the luxuries we have in our standard of living here, and don't bitch and moan about things that somebody in a less fortunate country would probably give their right arm for, then i'm more than happy to sound like a cheerleader!!!!!!! |

maybe you should change your sig to read "Africa Incoming, June 20!" and try and help some unfortunate people out? Then you wont sound like a cheerleader and actually make a difference, instead of telling people to be happy with that theyve got.
totally. |

I don't see your point - I'm looking forward to my trip, and I APPRECIATE getting the opportunity to do it.....which is exactly what I was trying to say - that we should appreciate what we have.... |

Should ppl in the "3rd world" appreciate what they have?
or do only cute animals have rights?
