Right, but "Passion" is a blockbuster and old Norse gods (were there any that walked the earth or sacrificed themselves for the sins of mankind?) are relegated to the bargain bin in the video stores. I think the public reflects where the interests lie on the topic.

I still would rather watch Erik the Viking than Passion myself :D

Ok, with the Christian religion, there are alot of things that really are wierd.
1. You can compare it to the Norse(Viking) religion very well. They had a Heaven(Valhalla) in which they did what they enjoyed the most, fighting. And they had a Hell, which consisted of what they truly hated: The cold. Their "hell" was a place of cold, which they hated, while the christian "hell" consists of "burning", which is known well as a horrible and extremely painful thing. Of course, the Norse appreciated fire as a bringer of warmth, and used it as an honorable way to "bury" their kings on longboats that were pushed out to sea while burning.
That's all for now. Anyone else finding this kind of wierd? |
So a Christian's heaven is a Norse's hell and a Norse's hell is a Christain's heaven? How cool is that. |

Was there a trick to that? |

So how do the Yggdrasill and Jormungand fit into your correlation between the Norse mythos and Christian mythos?
While we are at it...where does Vanaheim fit in? Or Alfheim?
I am Ratasok...hear me scurry....
