| poll sorted. i use fl3.56, there is nowt wrong with the sequencer, same with reason. personal taste. special_k go tell octagen that fl sequencer is crap ;) |

I am stunned that so few people use logic! its the only sequencer that professional artists will even consider and its only about 50 megs to download
and before you all start complaining that i should be paying for my software, ill will do on the day I make a penny out of music ;) first tune on vinyl and ill g out and by it. to be honest my dl'd version has bugs and I reeeally would fork out if I had any money right now!
But seriously try it out when u get past the first part of the learnin curve its amazingly powerful compared to others ive tried learnt like reason and fl (havnt tried the most recent version of fl tho) and id be happy to help anyone learn the basics.

are you so sure that all pro producers use logic (or cubase)???

Well ive spoken to most of my favourite producers and none of them use anything less than logic on mac. unfortunalty I only have a PC so il have to settle for just logic, but im afraid the hard simple truth is that if u want to go professional in music you need a mac with logic.

yeah ok.. guess that shokk, flutlicht, cosmicman etc... etc... isn't pro enough then
so don't say sorry to me.. say sorry to them and write them an email and ask them to stop producing becaus they aren't pro..
omg.. sorry.. but i really hate all those that come's and say that becaus some pro producer have told them that the only good thing to use is logic/cubase and some hardware... without that you can't be a pro producer and you can't make good music...
it's just soooooooooooo wrong
so if there's someone that should be sorry.. it's you

Im not trying to diss all other sequencers and all that use them Im just trying to encourage people to use what I consider to be the best. Most other sequencers are great and i found starting off on fl and reason a huge help in getting the grips with the basics of music making. if id started off on logic id have given up by now so go for it and enjoy them till u grow out of them. Howeever the tunes I knocked out on other sequencers required a hell of a lot more work to get the professional sheen that logic pulls off so easily. Who here has written a tune that they think is cracking but however much you tweak it just doesnt hit the spot? that was my problem till i took the time to learn logic..
Fair enough if people like flutlich want to use other sequencers but they have huge amounts of hardware to compensate.
And im not just choosing it cos just one bloke has told me to, I did only asked a few producers but still 100% logic all the way compared to the 5% it got here.
Who shall i believe? a poll of the pros or u....

I see from ur tunes that ur into the euphoric side of trance. Pretty good I can imagine waving my glowsticks to that :) Anyone here into really hard trance? Kevin nrg / Warmduscher / weirdo / Cai syle?
Im actually an acid techno man but trance is soooo easy to produce in comparison that I ended up producing my musical love of a few yers ago. techno's coming along but its taking a lot longer, v-station doesnt help you with techno although my 303 is a beut :P Give me some time to sort out a website and ill whack my tunes up there. Any suggestions of good hosting websites with no file size limits or catches?

whats so stupid about reason sequencer?
arn't they all basiclly the same tbh? but a diffrenet look maybe..
i used FL and using reason now, and i can say there is nothing different with those 2 sequencers besides the look and the way to use it
i do like Fl one, just click on playlist so easy :D, reason all copy paste blah!. >>lazy kid here :p |
