I'm very confused... I was really sure it was ETA who made this attack but now this letter and these new proofs have changed all the initial assumptions. We have to wait more...

Anyway all of the terrorists must die.:whip:

bin laden's group is showing really they are not humans but gutless humans who kill for no reason. I think Spain should join the fight to find the gutless cowards in the pakistan mountains...time to hunt that ****** down.

I told you so. It's blatantly obvious it wasn't ETA... Al Qaeda? hmm... I don't know, people blame everything on them, but the way it happened and the date (3/11) could be related them to it. Besides, Spain did support the US (and attacking London would be too obvious) so it would be some sort of a sick "payback".

If authorities confirm Al Qaeda is to blame, I fear for the future of arabs in Europe :sadgreen:

this is why america has the "no bull" attitude right now. its because of stuff like this happening. but wait, if spain began rooting out the terrorists where their home bases are, such as afghanistan, then all the peace demonstrators and all that crap would come out and protest.

really its beyond me of how u can use peace to make a rogue nation ruled by a benevelant dictator with a totalerian gov't, that doesnt give a rats ass about what anybody else thing, (example-north korea).
can anybody who supports peace at all costs support this??

The only reason for Al Qaeda to exist is US's terrible foreign policy (except for Clinton who was okay)... do you really want people to attack these countries, Heinz? If so, keep in mind that it'll only trigger more hatred, and more wars, and more bombs and air raids and what not.

The US shouldn't have supported Iraq or the Taliban, in the first place. What goes around, comes around. Sadly, in this case :(

Spain actively support the war on terror and have arrested lots of people but were unable to charge a lot of them, they're a target simply cos of the fact they support the anti-terror regimes

I would disagree. The root cause for their existence is far more complex and involved than a simple "it's because of US foreign policy" mentality. You stated that Clinton's foreign policies were ok, yet Al-Qaeda attacks were escalating during that very time period. Ultimately the conflict is based upon a clash of secular, western values and culture with religious fundamentalism.

At any rate, you can take a look at some of these threads if you want my opinions:

Simply ask yourself, what change in US foreign policy would satisfy Al-Qaeda to live peacefully with the world? A removal of US bases in Saudi Arabia? It's already happened. A Palestinian state? Very unlikely. These are all merely tools for recruitment that Al-Qaeda uses in order to acheive its ideological agenda.
Mr. Pink
The whole point of Al-queda is to DESTROY westernization.
Nothing would make them happy except for the downfall of democracy.

Another new point is:
Is the government of Spain hiding proofs before the elections of this next Sunday??
I ask that because then it's very damaging for the Government party if the responsible of this tragedy is definately Al-Qaeda. You know... for the Aznar's support in the Irak's war.
Then the society will think that these attacks are a islamist revenge for the spanish support to the Irak's war and that is very damaging for the Aznar's party.

interesting theory

i sincerley hope that is not true though, as it would mean an indirect but complete forgery of the electorial results.
