Nah, you guys are missing it.
PVD gets this orgasm face when he's spinning. I guess his wife hides under the decks and....
*splat* :nervous: :tongue3 :happy2: :eyespop: :disbelief :haha: |

I just saw Paul van Dyk for the 4th time at Ultra on March 6th. He pretty much closed Ultra. I was two rows back from the stage and not only did he go off but you could also tell that he was truly enjoying himself. He was really into his set...bouncing up and down, smiling, and really into the crowd. PvD has been using that mixer/database where he stores all his music and he has to search for music in a different way. I think it just causes him to focus more.
I posted once before that I have met and hung out with PvD and he is a stand up guy. He was very down to earth and easy to talk to. He was a little quiet at first but then we couldn't shut him up! He was joking around and having fun like any other normal person. I think some DJ's are just more outgoing on stage than others. It doesn't mean they like their fans any less or that they enjoy the music any less. The DJ feeds off of the crowd just as much as we do off of them. Have you ever caught Ferry Corsten live? I swear there are not too many other DJ's out there that dance around like he does. He is full of energy. Then you have DJ's that are a little more eccentric on stage like Junkie XL. Tiesto has a unique vibe. People are just drawn to him. When he is on stage in front of you...you can't help but feel the electricity in the air.

| da man is hard at work. from the countless times i've seen him in nyc i think he shows plenty emotion. I especially like the sneaky grin he cracks when he's owning the crowd. |

Im fairly certain this has been discussed at nauseum in the past on here.
I think it stems from his colder, more introverted east-german mentality.
It's a running joke that he never smiles, but needless to say, I've seen him smile on plenty of occasions. Not everyone has to be a giddy schoolgirl and flailing their arms around when they are spinning. Maybe Tiesto could mix better now and then if he wasn't so busy jumping around. |
Alright quit it on the Tiesto bashing. PVD trainwrecked at ULTRA (compared to Friday night at Space), and Tiesto killed.
PvD is teh sexay though.... ;) |

| I have seen him live 6 times and personaly I love to see the master concentrating on his craft. He owns the crowd with his music not the way he acts. |
