Are you kidding? When PvD trainwrecks it's noticed for sure, mainly cos people expect PvD to mix flawlessly all the time, and when he doesn't you can be sure that he won't get away with it. However, the reason Tiesto gets so much more heat for it is because he blatantly doesn't bother to make more than a half-assed mixing effort when he is more than capable of doing it, and that is a million times worse than PvD's occasional trainwreck.
How does his music show that he is a "Motorola popstar"? And even so, if that's what this is about then Tiesto must be a "Coca Cola popstar" since he did the exact same thing as Paul for a commercial brand.
So I take it you've heard the album already? And even if we disregard that, in terms of experimenting Tiesto is no better than Paul (Out There, Movement, Ich Will (Vandit Mix), Rendezvous vs Traffic and Flight 643). And I might also add that Tiesto's "freshness" of sound (which also can be debated) is largely due to the fact that he has had the likes of Geert Huinink and Tom Holkenborg do his productions for him.
And in case you didn't notice, DJ Mag's list is a popularity contest, it says all about the skill of the DJs on it. Tiesto is the perfect example of just that. (Refer to my previous post) |

| right to althose who dissing P.V.D. this guy does not mix like a train wreck i ve heard him many times and i have never heard him make a mitake once in his sets.Besides he's too german (no afence to anyone who his german)but like most germans hes a perfectionist .He's one of few djs/producer who produces quality tunes and put s 100% of effort and concertration into mixing. he plays quaility trance music just like tiesto, armin and ferry corsten and these guys put in the same effrot as he does |

real DJs do up and more often than you think
i have seen enough shows all over the place to know that no one is immune to any type of mistake on the decks.

Hardcore PVD fans are so hillarious. They take PVD bashing so personal, like if they are bound to him in heart and soul. They they take on to protect him by making up explanations about his character when they have no idea or bitch at the person who bashed him. Then they overate him so much i bet PVD could take a piss while he records it for a future release and his fans would love it.. Then is the usual PVD owns Tiesto anydays, Tiesto Trainwrecks and what not. If you think about it, most bands mess up live everynow and then when jumping around with their guitars, but its all part of the show. This could be applied to DJs, like Tiesto who put energy into it and make his set even more fun to watch and connect with the crowd, instead of just standing there trying to not up.
Heh, take it easy, come to think of it, i think the PVD fans are the pissy ones. |

try not to make such sweeping generalizations about anything, pvd's fanbase for example, is just puts you on the same level of ignorance with those who make claims about his character or motives. i dont mean this in an offensive way, just giving you the notice that my hypocrite alert went off reading your post.

Paul's fan base does not consist of blind followers (erm, at least not the majority). You should see most of the reactions to Reflections from the same people. |
