Well, my parents are divorsed, I live with my dad ever since I was 4. He's got full custody of me. Anyway my mom is in Colombia and I'm in the States. Well enough of that, I used to tell my dad a little about my personal life, but then he started making fun of me and embarrasing me so I just dont tell him anything any more:p , but when he finds out about something, I just have to explain. He has given me everything I have, my only duties are: good grades, help around the house, work hard, and be straight. He hates gay people, as i do

;) :clown: :toothless

Ive never told my parents a thing..nothing...i menan they dont know when i have a girlfriend they dont know where i go at night they know absolutely nothing of my life at all....like zero theyve never even met most of my friends...do any of you find this wierd? because this girl im with thinks its the wierdest thing shes ever heard

i dont think thats weird, but i am not like that. i took acid and cocaine in my appartment with my friends when my parents were there, and i told them what we were doing. they didnt like it but they can't tell me what to do.

my friends think that is the weirdest thing :) especially since neither my mom or pops ever even tried drugs and are not drinkers or smokers. they just know i will do what i want regardless of what they tell me.

My parents are cool as hell.

I got in trouble a couple years back for doing dex, and they were totally fine about it. I ended up telling them everything I've tried, and then they told me the stuff they used to do! Anyway, it's not that they were saying it was a good thing, but they realized that I was a growing boy and was bound to experiment (as long as I kept safe). It definatly brought us a lot closer. I'm at the age now where they've become friends more than parents, which is also very good imho.

nope, but my mum always assumes im up to no good, ie shouts at me because she thinks ive been smoking in my room or thinks that ive been fooling around.

its probably a generation lapse or something, seems like a them and us situation here...

either way i dont really care what she thinks...dont bother me, i just plug in gaytar and jam away :)

Interesting thread. I also never tell my parents anything about my personal life.

I guess it would be wierd to anyone who is used to a strong parental-relationship of thier own.

my mother & i are competly on opposite poles.she doesn't know anything about my personal life-only my friends & other simple things:rolleyes:& most of the time when we talk we end up arguing.my dad is more cool so i have more confidence in him,-2 bad i don't live w/ him cuz my life would b so much much better.

words of wisdom

I generally avoid telling parents about relatioships because they happened to use information I told them against me in some ways before, so I'm careful with what I tell them. As for girls, their knowledge whether I have one depends on me bringing her to my place when they're at home.
