| prime example right now went out last night came home at 8:30 this morning cause i fell asleep at my buddies apartment on his couch...was pretty tanked...come home my mother automatically thought i got ed up on drugs and stayed out till i came down..but like i said before i guess its my own fault since i drove them thru hell as a teenager.. anyways just to piss em off i dont tell em where i really was just so that their imaginations run wild |

no i don't think it's a wierd thing that ur parents know about ur life ...most of my friends it goes like this ...
with me it's different ,prolly cuz they adopted me and feel the need to protect me and consider me as a lil baby ....it took time to make them understand that im growing up now im 18 and they changed their mind about me considering me as a young adult ....or worse as they like to say * a young woman * which pisses me off :whip:
but they are pretty cool now ...the last times i went out with friends i went partying for 2 days several times and they even didn't yell at me wondering where i was at ,what i did ,with who i was ....i guess they trust me now :D
about drugs ....my parents caught me several times smoking weed but ...even if they are really against it ...they can't do nothing against it ....so but i never talked to them about the others stuffs i tried and don't think i will someday ....my parents never tried drugs are very conservative about them ,actually as long as i do well in law school and get good grades everything is going fine ....they allow me to do almost all what i want so i don't complain ....:) :crazy: |

Knowing is ok to certain extend. Some things are better to keep private from everyone. You’ll live longer. My parents know enough about me to keep them happy. Why would I open up and see them hurt?
Don't ever forget that WE DON'T HAVE TO OPEN UP TO ANYBODY. You'll get better sleep that way. |

i don't tell them all my problems and such, not open enough to that, though i don't really tell anyone about them, except for public online forums :stongue:
but i'm a bit too overdependent on them, and almost fed up of their presence, need to spend a lot more time with friends rather than with them

| My step father is a for the most part... My real father is a Junkie..... And my mom is decent enough allthough we arent really close and i believe she has a distored perception of reality.... Umm soo i guess i talk to my mom when it suits me but not to much I let her now what im up too and stuff but never details... |

I live with my mum and I tell nothing to her if she doesn't ask me. Sometimes she asks me where do I go tonight?? or who is this friend?? but if she doesn't ask me I tell nothing to her.
About my dad our relation is very weird cause I go to visit him very very few times, because he doesn't call me for going in his house and I also don't have time.
It's hard for me to say that, but when I need money or sth else is when I usually go to visit him. |

| My parents are 28 years apart, so it's like constant war zone at home. Uni rules for getting away from home! But yeah, my mom will always support me in stuff and give me info, lol. She'll usually take up for me with Dad because I get so frustrated that we get into huge arguments, so she'll negotiate while I'm not there. |
