worst week-end of my life maybe...LOL.....the show was awsome.....the set was great but i prefered the middle part.....more hard....the end was kinna experimental stuff.....by the way....omg mateo murphy was on FIRE....holy moly.....but man...im not sleeping right now....and i wont today....im goin to Lawler tonite....and at 12:30 tomorrow....leaving for toronto to meet peeps over there....im not gonna sleep for long time im tellin you:o
nice to see his kinna live-act....doin his own beats with the little machine....awsome |

complete review now,
we arrive at about 2:30, Yaz was spinning and there was not many people inside yet....but as time went on, it got more crowded and Yaz was very very nice
Jeff Mills now, i think I was expecting harder techno.....there was some ups and downs on his set, but overall, it was pretty good....
Mateo ended the night really well, i couldnt stop dancing until they opened the lights....
another great night! |

First, the vibe was good. You could feel people were there to enjoy a unique night. The last few tracks that I caught from Yaz set were great.
I would have expected more people but since the space you had was enough to bust some moves without problems nobody complained. Then, Jeff Mills arrived right on time at 4 AM and played until 7h15-30.
His set was intense. Not always easy on the ear for sure. A word about the sound on the dancefloor... it's like the bass could have blast more at some places and the highs turned down or filtered at others. Fortunately, it was noticeable for only a few tracks. I would have prefer harder(faster) tracks too but this is more of a personal taste. Can't say if it was a good or bad night for the guy himself.
Mateo's set was really great too. It restarted the night again and everyone who stayed until the very end wanted more. Much more accessible sound.
Two guys went behind the lightning console for each half approx. The second made the night even bigger than it already was. Congratz.
So overall, it was a special night. It also felt very intimate even if all curtains were pulled away. |

....im really dissapointed by the man....i thought it would be harder and deeper, but he kept playing this linear stuff (i listen to some excellent linear stuff, but his was so so...)
i liked the part when he played with the TR-909, it was so fast and hard!
Yaz was very nice, not much into it but played excellent stuff

Mateo was nice at the end:D

this was excellent, exacly jeff mills style, he played great, and there are only 2 other djs i know that can handle 3 decks with that excellence. ben sims and dave clarke. anyway it was very good. and with the drum machine wow.

i gotta say i am a bit dissapointed too
i exspected him to be perfect with the mixing
obviously i was a bit wrong
he has mad skillz but he made several mistakes
not that big but he was gooing too quick
it was great but you really gotta be open minded for this kind of music
it was the first time ive listened to this kinda stuff
final thoughts
from the dj's ive heard live,
liebing stays on the higher step of the podium technically speaking
he his not quick like mills but mixing is peeeeuuuurrrrfect
mills was throwing tune after tune so quick but mixing was not perfect |

| many people can hold a 3 deck mix, but not many can do the tricks that Mills does, nor can they transition between records so quickly. |
