such a gorgeous piece of machinery... I actually got to go for a ride in one last summer, my supervising engineer at ford owns an origional 1966 MarkI Gt-40 and used to drive it to work on really really sunny days!!... im sure that explains why he lives in such a ty apartment when he makes 200-300 thousand a year... im pretty sure he paid a fair dollar for that baby...

its not rare in England :p

they are quite nice, but the class of cars they were meant to compete with was far too superior. Also build quality of them is under BMW standards. Someone i know has one, and the sunroof constantly leaks, wind noise is high. The engine isn't particularly outstanding. And you can pick one up around here for around £12,500 to 20,000. Considering they used to cost around £80,000 thats a bit of a bargain!

Much respect, did your buddy tell you or did you do some research? They produce that car a few miles up the road from me. The same guy who designed it designed the FR500 Mustang. Its BEAUTIFUL in person. I've seen them at shows and 2 times on the roads. They sound so mean.

That's the truth... my friend's father had a 840, ditched that for a carrera cabriolet, ditched that for the new sl500.... the 8-series was not exactly up to BMW standards (for the car it should have been), but it was still cool.

the 850 = world of trouble, pain in the arse to work on. Constantly in the shop, thats why you dont see many of them on teh road.

they've done a few other corvette's including a 60's stingray. They did a split rear window Z06. And the FR500. I know he works with ford somehow, so there might be another ford concept thing here sooner or later.

thats all i know he's done so far.
