You're not earning friends. You're new the boards and naturally some people will be rude to you because of it. People actually answered your question, too, so be thankful.
Use the search function if you would like more information. |

Please folks, keep the rudeness out of this... for the newbies and veterans alike... we can have a conversation without flaming :).
Allmusic.com has a good general map to styles of music, including electronic music, listing key artists and key albums too. You may disagree on some of the finer points like I did, but generally it's solid.
One of my faves has to be Richie Hawtin. He is not only a DJ and producer but has some very interesting philosophies about "the spaces between the sounds" and minimalism. When I first listened to him he put me off, and I admit I still don't quite get into his Plastikman artist albums... too repetitive for me IMHO -- but I really, really like his mix albums under his real name.
What is techno? "Music that sounds like technology." Juan Atkins, one of baseball's... ahem, TECHNO's all-stars and pioneers... said that himself. It's a great quote because it's too easy to get caught up in... uh... taste-bashing :( (sadly) |

Eduardo,
I believe you made yourself look stupid when you questioned what techno tracks was produced by Picotto. It was enough for never read anything by you in this form EVER again.
Now you call people names who probably know world compared to you about electronic music.
Having gatecrasher logo on you avatar and going to a few local shows don’t make you an expert.
Listen and learn. Don’t talk. Listen and learn. |

Just because the tracks sound like banging metal without breakdowns it does not mean that that it is techno. Secondly how do u know how much I know about music, or how many events I have been to. You havent got a clue how many events I have been to mate, most probably more than you. I have the crasher logo because I that is my local trance club. |
