I've hung out Paul van Dyk. Stand up guy. It's a long ass story but I can honestly say that he gives a damn about his fans and will sit somewhere for hours and talk to people, sign autographs, and take pictures because he did that at a private party we had in his honor. All I did was ask if he wanted to go to a small private party being held in his honor and he said "sure". It required almost zero effort to get him there and he stayed much longer than any of us expected. I spent one on one time (plus in a small group) hanging out with him and he was extremely down to earth, intelligent, and easy to talk to.
I've met Ferry Corsten. Full of energy and very approachable. His personality can light up a room.
I hung out with Sasha on stage while he was spinning and afterwards at a private party. The time with him on stage was awesome. He threw down that night and refused to get off the tables. The party afterwards...well, what can I say? It was very interesting.
I wouldn't count too many people that are local (to me), but since so many people like him and he's a good DJ I'll add George Acosta to my list. Nice guy. |

Hehe btw funny story.
An old clanmate of mine had a VIP backstage ticket for a party a long time ago at a local club. Tiesto was spinning there that night.
Anyway, when the guy went to the bathroom, he found himself peeing next to tiesto. He said he had no idea what to do, so he didn't say a word (which is correct if u ask me... no talking while peeing!) and just stood there, trying not to look (down) and all :)
Just to show you tiesto is a person who needs to pee too ;p |
