Reason 3.0 wish list, whats your? (pg. 2)

No Left Turn
why would anyone want Reason to have VST support? it basically IS a VST!! you can ReWire it to Sonar, Pro Tools, Logic, Digital Performer, Acid Pro, Cubase, and Nuendo... what more do you want as far as expandability?? you can use it with just about every other major sequencer on the market. asking for VST support w/ Reason is the equivalent to wanting VST support for V-Station.

Reason 3.0?

1) another synth module
2) parametric eq (or graphic if need be)
3) any sort of compressor
4) a more elaborate sampler system for ReDrum
Mossy
addition of software versions of nord lead rack and virus rack XL :) how cool and unlikely would that be? :)

Because not everyone uses Reason as a Rewire slave. And currently Reason does have a compressor, along with a graphic EQ.
Spin Doctor
Firstly, reason will NEVER have built in VST support. That defeats the whole idea behind the creation of reason as an all in one music package. However, that being said, two way rewire would be very very nice! :D

Things I’d like:
1) A separate High Pass Filter unit.
2) An echo time that can be set to less than 10 Ms
3) A way for me to get the Matrix pattern sequencer to do what I want it to! :p
SgtFoo
1. Make it skinnable
2. Make a Fruityloops skin for it
3. VST support
4. less CPU intensive
5. rename version 3.0 to "Negotiated"

:D :D :stongue: :stongue: :stongue: :tongue2   :haha: :haha:
can you tell I'm not a Reason user?? heheh

I think the only way to make Reason compete with programs like Project5 will be if they add VST/VSTi support. Just imagine if you could add in any VSTi as a new rack synth and could patch it in the same way you can with Subtractor. The real beauty of Reason is the flexible routing, if we could route plugins then the sky would be the limit.
Red Room
I had this question on my mind for several months. There are several things I would like them to add in a new version.

First of all I wanted VST support, but while reading the other posts I reconsidered and came to the conlusion that it's not necessary.

For the rest:

- Decent eq on the mixer !!( 4 band eq, shelving low/hi, sweeping mid bands) Every time I need to eq something I have to add a vocoder to do some decent eq'ing. In the end I have just too much vocoders. It would be so much easier with a decent built in eq on the mixer.
- Seperate highpass filter
- Reverse rewire would be nice
- Reverse notes on Redrum

That's all I could think of so far.

But I consider those to be "bug fixes," not addons. As for addons... 4) Multiband compressor

As for the multiband compressor:

It's possible to create one with the audio splitter and multiple vocoders set to equalize. You can split the signal in several frequencybands and compress them seperatly and then put them back together with the audiomerger.

There is even a tutorial for this on the propellerheads website.
TXHARP
Here's my wishlist:

1) VST support (It's not going to happen, though. :( ).
2) MIDI out to connect hardware.
3) Reverse sample function on Redrum.
4) A new synth module. Maybe an additive synth.
5) Improved sound quality.

you can reverse with the NN-XT, choose play mode BW on the sample selected

DJ-Fuq
sounds like u lot want it to turn into fl :p
The Designer
1) Better recordings of the instruments. ( Reason factory bank and Orkester)
2) Stereo spreader
3) Improved (external ) filter that supports every filter type with ASDR envelope.
4) An option for not automatically route every instrument or effect that you add.
5) An all-round synth like the Virus of Access.
6) A Tr-909 drum synth
7) Good presets ( Reason comes with 0% quality presets )

The rest has all been mentioned.
