lol, good point. i was going to type vst support too, but this made me think twice:) i'm still gonna say vst support, since i'm used to the reason sequencer and don't own any sequence programs (can't afford it) and the quote below makes me want vst support even more:)

I think the only way to make Reason compete with programs like Project5 will be if they add VST/VSTi support. Just imagine if you could add in any VSTi as a new rack synth and could patch it in the same way you can with Subtractor. The real beauty of Reason is the flexible routing, if we could route plugins then the sky would be the limit.
|
a reverse button on nn19 or redrum would be usefull too. because i hardly use nnxt for percussion samples

4) An option for not automatically route every instrument or effect that you add.

hold shift key while you add and it wont be routed. :) |

don't see why a ditheringtool would be needed really :)
but anyway, what's really disturbing with reason is that some parameters on effects should be showed in db but they aint...
for example, the compressor...when setting the threshold it would be nice to know at what db I'm setting it...a threshold at 35 f.e. doesn't tell me jack really :p |

after reading that i wanna go over to the people at reason and hit them over the back of the head and say "W-w-w-w-w-W-W-WHAT THE WERE YOU THINKING?"(lewis black style). seriously, that has got to be the most obvious thing ever, thank you for bringing it up. |

4) Multiband compressor

You can easily make a multiband compressor in reason with a vocoder + a compressor + the audio merger/splitter

Thanks yeah someone else pointed it out to me and I figured the rest out on my own. What I'm looking for is a real multiband compressor, not a makeshift one. |

What I would like:
- VST support (so I don't have to start Cubase everytime :))
- Sidechain support (recently I downloaded a new dxi plugin for sidechaining effects, it's great for getting your kick and bassline clean, not distorting or completely pushing away each other.
- Loads of other small things, which I can't think of right now. |

hmm i want a better equalizer more accurate one, and a new synth something with more oscillators like abysynth for those nice pads.
further i think reason is good as it is, no need vsts.. |
