| Everyone's going so crazy over it because it's been a while since there's been less and less quality emotional uplifting trance released these days... with all the progressive and dark trance becoming popular, a really emotional track like Chine is a welcome change... Though it might be a bit overrated, I think it's a great song... |

| i have to say, that when i heard first the song i was so in love with it "jeah one of the beste songs ever and so..." the first promo was also very special, but with the release of the full version i more and more realized that it is just a very good song. It becomes boring with the time, but the melody i like very much and its very emotial.... i thint most was a big "hype" like it was with the "nothern lights" song.... i donīt know how many people still hear this song often... i only hear it every 2 weeks or so.... so i also think its "a bit" overrated, althoug it is a very good track from some of my favorites producers... |

| Well, I love the track but I dont listen to it to the poing of heaving to kill it , if ya know what I mean. maybe over rated because there hasent been any tune like this released in the couple of months, everything is more tours progressive, so for been among the few from a very famous artist, makes up all the hype, and since most of us like the uplifting emotional, we get HYPED up with it :p Ofcoruse we all got different taste on the genre of TRANCE. |

myk hit the nail on the head, everyone's just clamoring for the trance of 1999-2000... this track is good but WAY overrated
i mean look myk you even have push - the legacy in your top 3 tracks, because its new
but it doesnt even compare to push's other stuff.
maybe the style of trance is changing against our will... i mean there IS a lot of garbage out there now that is hyped...
i guess it'll be up to PvD to keep things going with future hooj tunes like epic monolith etc. |

Why do I love this song so much? Well for one I really like uplifting music. It's hard to describe the emotions I feel when listening to it. The melodies just take me to a whole other level. Most music just has a good beat and makes me want to dance or bob my head, but uplifting music just makes me sit in awe. Souvenir De Chine is the epitome of an uplifting song: beautiful, ambient, airy synths and a great melody. It's on par with all the uplifting classics, such as Gouryella-Gouryella, Rank 1-Airwave and Solar Stone-Seven Cities.
The ambient buildup at 2:59 is good.
The secondary buildup at 3:55 is great.
The melody starting at 4:49 is simply awesome...a true masterpiece.
If you really dislike the track stop bitching.
And I'll try my best not to bitch about how boring most progressive music is. |

Actually I hate progressive music too, I'm an epic/uplifting fan, AND YET I hate this "Souvenir de ". If they're trying to be like they were a couple of years ago, this is a very weak attempt indeed. The quality is going down big-time.
I think Fire & Ice should take a vacation. They've been working too hard for the last several years. |

The song rocked my world for one full day...i dont think its over-rated...
i think Push - Universal Nation (i like Legacy more) and Delerium - Silence (Tiesto Mix) are over-rated and some VDM songs are under-rated...
i cant explain fully though...cos its not even about taste...i guess its got something to do with individuals and some particular songs. |
