Am I the only one that can't stand "Souvenir de Chine ?" (pg. 3)

Eugene, i really don't think you can say Souvenir de Chine is a weak attempt
Besides, Fire & Ice have been producing top quality uplifting/epic tracks since 98. Fire & Ice was under-rated until now with Souvenir
Lost Emotions is my fav one, and not a lot of people talk about it
As an uplifting lover, maybe you could consider Fire & Ice as a reference
I agree Souvenir de Chine had more effect on me the firt times i heard this 1:45 sample
Now that i have the full version..mmh, well i still love it, it's Fire & Ice , it's great, but it's over-rated for sure
Actually it'll become wasted because too many people loved it suddenly, and now many (as i read this thread) don't like it at all
It's just very sad i think..
Especially for Fire & Ice who tried to break through as they deserved it so well
And that's true it became this way due to a lack of good uplifting/epic tracks these days...Once again, that's too bad, and this situation won't help uplifting/epic lovers like some of us (me for example)
I wonder what Fire & Ice think about that, if they ever know the situation
I just feel bad for them...
Anyway, i'm going to see Jurgen Leyers and L-vee spin on Saturday (they are part of Fire & Ice), and i'm sure it'll kick ass ! |

I was wondering what the big fuss was about. I saw a whole bunch of threads with topics of that song and so on, and of people demanding that track. I guess because of that, it got many hopes up, and then when people who never heard before finally heard the song, they were disappointed.
I personally did not pay attention to any of the threads,,, other than notice how many of them there were. I personally think the song kicks ass. It's pretty good,,, it is not 10 quality, but sure better than all that other out right now. For some reason a lot of the uplifting trance right now is not up to par. Many of the songs just sound so vague and unoriginal.
This song does sound a little like some other song I’ve heard before. Nonetheless, I think this has tons of feeling and emotions into it. |

He is now known as DJ Fire
He's also producer with L-vee of Freebase, of E.N.E.R.G.Y

yep, Blik called me on this one. I give it a thumbs down. i think bachatu got it right: everyone had been getting their hopes up, due to a lack of quality uplifting releases... combine that with a short clip out of a liveset of the peak of the song... and you have a bunch of anxious TA's waiting.... finally when the FULL release comes out, people see its not that great.. (livesets always make songs sound better)....
Personally i never liked it from the get-go.... I'm not going to post hate-mail about it in every thread though. I don't "hate" it in the biblical sense of the word... its just to my disliking. And i enjoy good uplifting... just nothing really "sticks out" about this song in my head.... it sounds like same 'ol stuff, ya know.
I can't believe this thread got this long with this many replies before i saw it!!
Can anyone de-throne Urban Train, the champ of tha month?

which ties souvenir at 8.5/10 also..
nice tracks but im already sick of both
am i the only one who notices the blade runner sample in the break (at about 3:00 etc.)???
its the sound of the camera when harrison fords character says "zoom in... ten degrees..." etc.
zooming in and out and stuff
that's pretty cool.. cant remember what was the last track to sample blade runner, which actually had the harrison ford voice sample.. |

| Well I think the track is one of the best of the year, my response when I first heard it was 'wooooooooaaaaaaah this is trance baby!' and yes its not a track you are gonna hear over and over but its still damn good |
