| I only buy media (CDs, DVDs, and games) from Best Buy. I think I might have bought my PS2 there, but it was only because it had gotten stolen, and the insurance company gave me a credit at Best Buy. |

Then returned a crap 24x CDROM in the DVD Burner box and got my money back. :D |

| Hrm, I've always had good experiences at Best Buy. In fact I bought this laptop from there. This is actual the second one I got from them, because the first one had a dead pixel. They swapped it for me within a few minutes. I still haven't decided if I'm going to redeem the rest of my 3 year warranty when I get back to the States though, I kind of like the plan. It already helped me out on the dead pixel issue. Maybe it just varies from store to store. My Best Buy has had a few chances to screw me over and they didn't. I also know a guy that works there, and the guy that sold me the laptop was pretty cool... I think he was more excited about the laptop than I was. And in fact, Circuit City is the only place where I've had problems. |

The Best Buy here in Pensacola, FL is alright. When I bought my headunit from them, they kept trying to get me to buy the PSP. I was like "Why do I need one if my CD player already has a 2 year warranty?". After reading BestBuySux.org, I noticed, he did keep asking me. I'm smart enough to not buy that stuff ;)
The only thing that pissed me off is that I had bought some subwoofers from them, and then the next ing day, they were cut 50 dollars, and came with a free amplifier. So I went into the store and asked them if they could give me the same deal, considering I had just bought the product a day before the sale but they like gave me the run-around. I thought they had a policy to where if you bought something, and then it went on sale a few days later, they would re-imburse you? Or am I thinking of another store? I know Circuit City does it?
I don't shop at BestBuy much, because of the horrible prices on their stuff. The Head unit was just cheaper then the other places around Pensacola ;) |

To each his own. My buddy is now the manager of a cutco office in daytona.
Face it, direct sales is a market where you can make a lot of money if you work hard, and no money if you don't work at all. Its not their fault if you can't hack it. |

And yes, BB is supposed to match any deal after your purchase for 30 days. |

| Funny thing is, I work at a Best Buy in the Media dept and I love it. The employee discount of 10% above cost might be affecting my thought process tho. :p |

well one time i was there i asked an employee what computer monitor i should buy, it was either a Viewsonic LCD 17" (around 500) or a Viewsonic CRT 19" (around 250). The guy told me i should go for the CRT since i wouldnt really need a LCD for what i use my computer for. I was surprised he didnt try to scam me off more money and actually recommended the less expensive item.
I have a 2 year warranty exchange on some klipsch speakers. Im curious about the customer service so tomorrow im going to go and try to exchange my speakers for some new ones. Will let you know how well they treat me. |

| well i'm not gonna defend Best Buy cause I dont really give a but just want to say that I've always seemed to have problems in Circut City to a point where I stopped going there in the past year.Every time I went to Circut City it felt like I was buying a car.I like going to Best Buy, I've never had a bad experience there,for example I bought my computer there with no probs.I think it all depends on the kind of employees that work there. |

they boast "free same day installation" on any car stereo there... so i bought one, took it to the "best buy garage" where they tell me they dont touch Saabs. I immediately returned it and drove across the street to circuit city where they did it for free.
