| Heh, I have split opinions on the movie. It's a rather hollywoodized version of the Illiad, and taken out of it's context, the movie isn't that bad. The decision to remove the gods from the storyline is a tough one, but imo it may have been better if the gods stayed in there and played a more important role. The whole thing about Achilles' heel doesn't make sense if gods are removed from the story. Also I must note that the role of Achilles was a rather lousy one, but I do not blame it so much on Brad Pitt himself as much as I believe it's a problem with the lousy scenario regarding Achilles' character. |

| I didn't care for it too much. Acting was bad, and the whole movie seemed like it was trying to be "epic". Gladiator kicks its ass. |

i saw it this weekend and i have to say...it was the worst job acting i've been brad pitt do. he's usually on, but whoever the writers were really sucked it up.

I just saw the trailer. I liked the scene where the camera is showing a trireme,(the greek fighting ships, triiris in greek)and than is slowly zooming-out showing two , three, seven, fifteen, forty one hundred- WTFFFFF !!!! and its like the whole sea is full of triremes!!!Godddd i thought the on-board soldiers should be more than the whole ancient greek population!!! More hollywoodisations of ancient mythology than... |

i didn't liked the story/plot, it could be much better
photography was horrible but there was one scene that i loved: when the agamnemom (whatever..) army breached the walls..that flying cam..sweeet!
i had much hope on troy and i was let down..same went for van helsing and for pretty much all the movies i watched recently..hollywood is falling |

I thought it was an entertaining movie. Not a great movie, but enjoyable to watch in the theatre.

Did anyone else notice how the fight between Hector and Achilles seemed to be even up until Hector tripped over the rock? Was that supposed to be significant? |
