Anyone seen the movie?
I think its really really good.A few sad bits like the movie gladiator. A LOAD of battle scenes. At least 4-5 battle scenes in 1 movie I think. Great to bring ur girlfriend along. In fact U MUST BRING UR GIRLFRIEND ALONG. If u dont have 1...just bring a cute girl and I'll guarantee you she'll cry on your shoulder when the sad bit comes.(I know mine did) Not to mention the massive hunks that are available for their fantasies.
For the guys.. you can see Helen of troy's in the movie, or so i heard.I didnt manage to see it cause I was busy messaging with my cellphone. ALso.. u can imagine urself as Achilles.CAuse the way Brad Pitt fights in the movie is just amazing. You can see that he doesnt need to be 100% to kill ANY of his enemies. Take note of his trademark moves cause you're gonna use it when u start to get drunk.
Overall 4.5/5 Just a tad too draggy i think. |

Sorry.. didnt think u want spoilers.
Seriously do u??
Well anyways here it goes (spoilers)
Paris (Bloom) and Hector(Bana) go to Sparta for peace making. Paris steals the kings(Manelaus) wife (Helen) and thus, king got angry and calls for war.
Manelaus Brother, King of greece(or sparta..not sure)Agamemnon goes to Troy wanting to take over troy instead(not just to get helen back)
Achilles goes to war with Sparta not under anyone's command and just going there to be a Legend. bla bla bla.. Troy was overtaken by the wooden horse trick . Hector(Bana) was killed by Achilles(Pitt) by a 1on 1 duel cause apparently Bana accidentally killed Pitts cousin.
The king of troy(o'toole) dies, king of sparta(cox) dies in the end..
and yeah.. Legolas used a bow and killed Achilles in the ending by shooting an arrow into the heel, and then to the heart 3 times.
THUS, ACHILLES HEEL IS NAMED AFTER HIM!
THE END! |

Saw it thought it was average. Not as good as Gladiator.
Positives: The one on one fight scenes, of which there are a few were amazing! Eric Bana, Peter O'toole, Eric Bana's wife, their acting was very very good. The horsey thing, those rolling fireballs, the real life scenerey, and those massive walls of Troy.
Negatives: Bad music, Brad Pitt trying too hard (and Achilles being this reluctant hero crap, his character didn't make any sense! u know what i mean?). Too many goddamn pyre scenes ughhh! Too long with a lot of useless scenes (e.g. the pyre scenes). Not enough emotion and the sets im sorry, they just looked fake like something from a Trojan themed hotel.
It's still an okay movie don't get me wrong and a lot of people will like/love it, but it could have been better and more concise. Its just getting to be a case of yeh seen that before i don't care. If they stuck more to Homers original tale i think it would have been better, rather than hollywoodizing it.
Anyway this is just my opinion, i was just hopeing it would be better. |

Homer's tale involved much more characters and GODS.YES GODS!
I just thought adding roman gods to the movie is just cheesy.ALso the movie is long enough the way it is.
The music was great imo.It was performed by JAMES HORNER.HELLO!? |

Sean Bean aka Boromir from the lord of the rings. He's a good actor, in a pivotal role, but you don't really care. |
