Do you believe some things are? Or does everything happen by chance?
I don't believe in fate at all, but sometimes a chain of events will lead to something really good and it seems too organized to be accidental.
Does this happens to other people too or am I full of carp? |

Too many things happen in life that cannot be explained by the word "coincidence". |

A quote from a movie
"There is a fine line between coincidence and fate"

| Lat year I fell in love with this girl and it was weird because it happened overnight, but I saw her everyday for about half a year and it just hit me. She was going to leave for college in a few months, so I told her how much I loved her one night, and unfortunantly it didn't work out, but she asked me if I believed in fate, that some things happen for a reason, and after I left I thought about it for a while, and I convinced myself that this relationship with her would happen later or that I would meet another girl who I would love even more. Well, she is now dating one of my good friends and I am left with nobody since then except for this girl who dated me just so i could buy her drugs, which i never did. I do believe in faith, and unfortunantly faith s you in the ass. Ofcourse I shouldn't give my hopes up too soon. |

"There are no accidents. We have not come here by chance. I do not believe in chance. I do not see coincidence, I see providence. I see purpose. I believe it our fate to be here. It is our destiny. I believe this night holds for each and every one of us, the very meaning of our lives." |

you are studying fate?
it's interesting how psychology tries to put a statistical number on EVERYTHING, isn't it? |

superstition, believing in a contingency that is not there. This happened for this reason, yet it didn't.
well at least that is my perspective, however i try to be a unique skeptic, skeptic of these new age things and beliefs while still being skeptical of science.
crazy eh. |

We like to believe in purpose and fate because it helps us continue on.......
if we didnt have SOMETHING to live for...even if it was living to eat that next cheeto snack.....what would be the point?
I personally dont believe that things happen for a reason....
They just do
our lives are as chaotic as the cosmos.
yet we could say the universe, whatever is going on in this "place" runs by some sort of "flow"....some sort of movement...
I like to characterize lives as movement through time...a flow or a current because everything from the waves in the ocean to the clouds in the sky, the galaxies in space, and the thoughts in your mind flow on some sort of level.
As far as fate goes to decipher what is and what isn't in my life or yours....naaaa.....just a flow chaotically running its course in a systematic fashion in accordance to what a "flow" entails...
in conclusion:
