Two questions:
1.)What is Boa's capacity ???
2.)How many tickets will be sold ??? (obviously will sell out) |

| I wouldn't worry though, it's gonna be one long long long set! And remember, early bird this saturday $50.00.:tongue3 |

I don't get why people think it HAS to be $75.
Put it this way: how much did you pay for the last concert you went to, and how long was it? |

I paid $20 to watch Danny Howells throw down a 12 hour set @ Aria.
Even if it is $50 it's still overpriced IMO.
I mean sure he doesn't come here a whole lot but people are just gonna pay the money cause it's "Danny Tenaglia". It's not that I can't afford but some people can't and that is not what this scene is about. Not to mention that fact that Danny Tenaglia is one of the biggest conceided DJ's in the world (ask if you don't know why). Skills are Skills but my morals mean much more to me. I bet half the people that are going aren't even into his , just going cause it's the cool thing to do.
I still have to congraulate Boa for the war they won and the talent they bring to the city. You can tell they have all the "other" clubs taking a little more seriously and that must mean they are doing something right. |

ugh...I'm not going down to Boa, or attending that night, just to get advanced tix...so it's a $60 minimum after that. 12 hour set or not, that's a bit pricey...and it means getting EVERYONE to commit ahead of time or face $75 the day of? no thanks...exactly what Shawzy said too.
I'm sure it will be a great party...congrats to Boa for booking him...but I gotta pass on this arrangement. |

| I paid $65 to see Danny last Sep. at Stereo. It worth every single penny of it. I would've paid another $40 leaving the club. |

As someone already mentioned there is a reason why tickets are so expensive.
1) Tenaglia is expensive(and why is he expensive - cause he is in demand)
2) BOA isn't that big
So yeah prices are that big not because BOA are greedy or anything, but because they do need to cover their costs.
If I was into House, I'd hit that for sure. From my understanding Tenaglia is to House, what Paul van Dyk is to Trance (if not more)
BTW, Margaret, we did pay 40 USD(at the time 60CAD) to hear 6 hour Paul van Dyk set in New York. |

| You guys do have to remember that he isn't coming out of the goodness of his heart alone. Booking a DJ like Tenaglia and organizing a party of acceptable size for such an event costs the club mucho $$$$$. Not to mention good tickets to a Stones' concert can run you over $100.00 and Platinum leafs playoff tickets are up in the 1-2k territory. In my mind 12 hours of Tenaglia is definitely worth more than a rolling stones concert or a leafs playoff game. |

his new Back to Basics is really nice actually!!!
i have to see what i'll choose to do that nite. there's so many options, but obviously, like so many for us, $$$ is an issue. i really wouldn't mind checking out the boat party ...but how to get tix for that ..i don't know, esp. since there's such a limited capacity. ..i guess i gotta pull some ropes here again. i'd love to do everything...but i can't be at all places at the same time! agh! i wish ... perhaps it'll have to just be DT! good tunes & times guaranteed! ;) |
