You are right, the government should come down on them like a hammer. But, Palestinian authority has pretty much made this an unrealistic idea. So, because they haven't done a whole lot to stop insurgencies, why should we expect them to act now?
I can see how this is all going to go around in circles.. ;) |
I agree with you. My point is, why should this be Israel's fault? |

i wasn't there but there is no evidence this poor, helpless man was targeted. on the other hand, Palestinian terrorists target families eating together at a pizzeria, or sneak in to someones house and shoot a 3 year old in her bed (i still have the article with a picture of her horrified mother). these people make sick, and i think they deserve to have more coming to them then they are actually getting |
On the other hand this.. on the other hand that...
The fact is...Palestinians are suffering and dying more by the hands of "moral" idf soldiers.
Cheers |

There is no excuse for occupation. Peace will come when occupation ends. We've stated that a thousand times. And it doesn't need to be proven that the man in the wheelchair was shot because of occupation. He lived an occupied life and got a bullet in the head.
Again, Palestinians are fighting occupation. If Camp David talks were serious, then Israel shouldn't have been building settlements at the same time as the talks. The peace process was never serious, at least not after Rabin was killed. It was deceit and an excuse to build more settlements. You gave the Palestinians no choice but to resume the Intifada after nine years of "peace process". And you have convinced us that there can be no peace with occupation. |

i dont agree.
the terretories were occupied after 3 big wars engaged on israel by huge arab countries - not the opposite. this is a very good exscuse.

says who?
Peace will come when palestinians stop their terror & brainwashing machine and show some positive signes of capability being future normal neigbour of Israel. |

| To the contrary, "Peace" in the sense of security has come now, after massively and forecefully fighting terrorism without compromise and after re-occupying parts of the territories. All those who were screaming that trageted killings and military opersation will make things worse are proven absolutely wrong. Again. |

We built silly houses.
You killed our people.
Which can be reversed? |

the behaviour the palestinians are exhibiting is the result of the affects of occupation. The vengeful culture that has grown from palestinian suffereing is the result of a brutality the ISraeli government has executed.
You bet my ass I would fight if an external force was systematically demolishing and "acccidentally" shooting men in wheel chairs. You bet there would be organized gangs like groups that would have so much hate they would kill anything and anyone who is part of that entity.
END THE OCCUPATION....STOP JUSTIFYING IT!!!!!
Flotser.. your zionist mentality makes me sick |

| The only way the fighting will stop is if either all the jews or all the palestinians die...or both. |

If you think there is a justification for occupation then it's no wonder they're blowing Israelis up. First, I disagree that the 3 wars were engaged by "huge" Arab countries, but either way, you're still living in the mentality of that time. The last war was in 1973, and we put that behind us, but it seems you didn't put it behind you and that's why you won't give up the territories you captured.
We haven't convinced you that there can be no peace without occupation because occupation has never ended, but we have stated numerous times that we can have peace without occupation. As long as our land is occupied, we will keep fighting Israel. I disagree that we have any responsibility in being quiet while occupied.
And don't delude yourself, trancegiant. Israel will never have security as long as it maintains its role as an occupier.
Finally, I'de like to remind you that the ones who used collective punishment and extrajudicial assassinations before Israel were the Nazis. The irony never ceases to amaze me. |

I guess we are living in the mentality of that time. But why would that be...?
1973: Arabs attack Israel in hopes of destorying the nation under the guise of 'liberating' the territories.
2001-Present: Arabs attack Israel in hopes of destorying the nation under the guise of 'liberating' the territories.
Damn, guess you right, I better ignore the history books and put it behind me:rolleyes:
