Israelis kill man in wheelchair
Three Palestinians - including a wheelchair-bound man crippled in the 1987 intifada - have been shot dead by Israeli troops in separate incidents.
The Israeli army said a 17-year-old died when troops opened fire at a "suspicious-looking" figure at night in Khan Yunis, in the Gaza Strip.
Earlier, troops opened fire to disperse protesters in Kalandia, in the West Bank, killing the man in a wheelchair.
The army said the protesters were throwing stones near an airport.
The man - Arafat Ibrahim Yakub, 31 - suffered fatal head wounds, Palestinian sources said. He had been confined to a wheelchair since being wounded in the first intifada in 1987.
A mentally disturbed man was shot dead by troops on Monday near the West Bank town of Qalqilya, Palestinian sources said. The incident reportedly happened near Israel's separation barrier.
The Palestinian youth killed on Sunday in Khan Yunis, near the Jewish settlement of Neve Dekalim, was named as Mohammed Nabahan.
The army said he had ignored warning shots and calls to stop.
Palestinian radio said Israeli forces also arrested seven people during raids overnight in the Balata refugee camp in the West Bank town of Nablus.

The man in the wheelchair either deserved to be hit or he was collateral damange by standing by and associating himself with targeted aggressors in the vicinity. There were no direct attacks on the man unless he was wielding a weapon; he was probably standing near Habib with an AK-47 or an RPG and egging him on. Get real...

The IDF dosn't 'shoot peopel for fun', the people in the IDF is a different story..

I find this hard to believe. The article seems to indicate that a crowd had gathered and was throwing stones at the IDF. In order to disperse the crowd, they fired into the crowd and this was how the man in a wheelchair was shot and killed.
I don't think he deserved to be hit, and he definitely was not "collateral damage" - that is a insulting term, which was probably invented by the US military. |

in a less globalized world these peolple, according to darwins laws of natural selection, would have been destroyed and conquered long ago. Palestinians need to start behaving if their cries out (such as the man in a wheelchair) are to be taken seriously.
i don't feel sorry about any of these cases because they were being stupid. If they were not throwing stones or sneaking around at night things like this would not happen.
the smartest thing for them to do is to stop fighting completely, then the Israelis would have no excuse to bulldoze villages and launch strikes. But as it stands they have every right to. imo

| Whether they killed him on purpose or by accident is not the point. That man died because he lived under occupation. Accident or no accident, if he wasn't occupied he might have been more fortunate, as would many other people, Palestinians and Israelis alike. |
