| All my friends (good # girls) keep asking me how to lose weight. and then every time I see them or talk to them they have eaten a half pan of lemon bars or some . Im just like....this is why you are fat. Stop in eating so much. SOOOOO ANGERING when people basically LIE about wanting to lose weight. If they wanted to lose weight so bad they would take the requisite actions. One way or another they lack the strength of character, the will of keeping a promise, to do it. and it never ceases to piss me off. |

Fatass people (I know it well..cuz I was one at one time) think that you just change the diet, you will lose weight.
Let me spell it out for all those who go on fad diets
Dieting IS A LIFESTYLE CHANGE!!!!!!
not just a diet change...numbnuts
Since my sig was simple math (which I'm sure my precious amber liked), I'll do it again
Changing Diet for the good + Exercising = Healthier YOU!
Now I'm not saying that you will lose weight because it depends on metabolism. But you could have the greatest diet in the world, but if you don't exercise, then you are screwed
Think of eating right = less wasted calories
Think of exercise = burning the calories you eat
= Healthier YOU!, you feel better, you have more energy and studies show that you live longer when you do this |

Heh yeah, your comment about fat people was more or less my point. You don't get obese without seriously living a terrible lifestyle, so going from that extreme to a healthy extreme can lead to huge results in a short period of time. Of course, you have to actually stick with it, which most people can't do.
| quote: | Atkins diet should last 2 months max and the main purpose of it is to kick you from your sugar and carb addiction. Most people think that carbs are evil and you shouldnt have them. You should have a good in amount, you just shouldnt have them be 80% of your diet like most fat ass dips think you should.
"Ohhh I want to stop being fat, but im not going to read one god damn book on how my body works or the science behind stuff." |
This is my big problem with people that religiously subscribe to this idea. They don't actually have a clue what it does and they think it's just something that says "oh I can eat all the pork rinds I want, sit on my ass all day and still lose weight! fantastic!". I actually read through the entire atkins diet and it only recommends cutting carbs out completely for the first phase (about 2 weeks), and limiting them for the second phase (another 2-5 weeks or so). After that, you're supposed to go back to a regular diet with plenty of carbs and maintain your weight via exercise. |

| I was 224 pounds in feb 2002 then I decided to get off my ass and exercise and change. 172 now..2 yrs of not eating crap and being healthy and now i'm reaping the rewards Eating a whole bag of chips, i realized what stupid. Give and take people...continue being fat then continue eating your crap...want to improve your health, get up off your ass. You realize that walking burns more calories than jogging...lmao and we can all walk |

That is why I don't diet...never have. I eat! :tongue2 I just eat sensibly and work out. I get annoyed when women make comments to me about being "thin". I want to say..."if I ate like you I wouldn't be". ;) |

| Sounds like how my brother was about 10 years ago. FYI to all the Atkins crazed people, he lost about 60 lbs in 6 months (220 down to about 160) by eating vegetarian pasta for 2 meals a day and running for 30-60 minutes 5-7 times a week. He was on the all-carb diet and it seemed to work fine =P |

There is no magic pill people, there is no magic diet.
I went to my doctor and we cut out salt in the foods I ate
You change your diet, you workout...you see the benefits |

| Lol, I hear that Mono is a good one for that too (never got that one myself though =P). Most of those 17 lbs was probably water though, which is bad for all kinds of reasons =P |
