Exactly, the US creates terrorists why should we pay billions of dollars to fight them. If that money doesn’t go to health care it can go to feed and clothe the poor of 3rd world countries that’s more important than funding the military(anything is). Canada has always assumed the role of peace keepers and should remain that way, all people who think killing people will solve problems should go down south , you'll feel right at home. Keep watching CNN.

Explain what your getting at here? What is your position regarding what Canada should be doing? All you seem to be doing is bashing the liberals without actually saying anything constructive as to why they should be voted out. Do you think the Conservatives will do a better job at making us safer? Explain, otherwise nobody will give a for what you have to say.
Trying to fight terrorism is a complete waste of money. We'll never win and nor will the US. The only way to make sure it doesn't happen to us is by correctly managing our foreign policy.
Are you one of those who thinks the war in Iraq is the current front in the war on terror? Are you one of those brain-dead people who thinks the war in Iraq will make us safer in the end?

Stop being such a jackass.
Our military needs more funding to be able to perform it's PEACEKEEPING duties...but nothing *remotely* approaching what Harper wants to give them is appropriate given our other priorities.
Wake up...the days of Canada the military power in WW1 and WW2 are over. We have other priorities. Let the U.S. have it's wartime economy. I enjoy health care.
U.S. interests are attacked because the U.S. has a disgusting foreign policy that we do not share...we don't have nearly the level of risk and concern that they do and increasing military spending to Harper's level is irresponsible. We can clean up our own country before spending on a military that serves more to protect others than we need it to protect ourself. |
