Webby, didn't mean to sound rude, just got to me, i know it wasn't personal, i just love deep and meaningful conversations :)
You say that 1 in 4 is a P plater, thats cool, but that is all based on probability, there could be a particular suburb, or time where there are a few more P platers in the area, say the west = less ppl work = more ppl driving around.. lol thats just the case, in the CBD more delivery vans cause of business.
I dunno, maybe in the west way i see alot of stoopid , just normal stuff like last week a brand new M3, i was in her blindspot n she just turned into my lane, i had to hit the breaks, n she gave me this look of death like "Why didn't you let me in" IM like hello wtf? I slowed down, but it wasn't in the time frame it took you to just ram ur $80K (or watever it costs) into me...
P platers can sometimes and i guess very recently in the news have seen to become more and more aggresive, but thats only because people treat P platers like second class road users, people don't give way, and another example, driving home the other night, i was at the lights next to this car, driving down cumberland highway when it turned green, i was in the fast lane doing about 75, wat does the kunt do, he speeds up and gets in front of me, only to slow down to about 72, roughly which made me slow down a touch, now tell me why didn't he just keep on his lane n let me on my merry way?
BAC of 0.00, is fine with me cause i don't drink if im driving, but why not make it for all drivers? Isn't driving under the influence in any sort of licence type dangerous?
And insurance companies have only been forced as there have been way too many dodgy things going on in the past years, rebirthings, ram raids, this is all part of general crime, but unfortunatelly we must foot the bill when it comes to this, like global warming, not everyone recycles, but we must all share in the blame case we are part of humanity.
Not that i don't mind humanity, but we are too flawed, Darwin should have found a better, quicker n more effective method for natural selection cause unfortunatelly some people don't deserve to breathe the same air we breathe... ie, Hitler, the guy who killed Kennedy... Bin Laden???? That M3 bitch.. The story continues... |

I've driven around most of Sydney and a good deal of NSW, I haven't noticed any particular concentrations of either type of driver.
As I said, I can't (and won't) defend the actions of all drivers, everyone has stories of near crashes and road rage. However from my perspective, the near-crashes are proportionally more likely to involve a P-plater (particularly when it involves doing something stupid like leaving hi-beams on or not checking mirrors). |

i'm a P plater, and i think im playing daytona when im on the roads.
but its true....
majority of p platers are too confident in driving, thinking their superior! (i am a modest driver :) besides the occasional drift turn)
but lets get to the real point...
Women are the worst drivers by far.. (shields from immenant flaming) |

True that..
Last week i almost hit someone cause they were driving without their lights on.. i would have had an accident but then who's fault is it... the P plater (me) or them for not having them on?
And wat about ppl who don't indicate? last thing ive heard is that its to preserve the bulbs.... :haha:
And being a P plater is pretty much survival of the fittest most of the time for me, everyone treats you with so much disrispect that we are forced to fight to be acknowledged.
Like the lion king, simba had to kick sum ass to become king, if he didn't then he would still be down there doing jack all, while Mustafa takes his Nala? from him. |

so true! today on dandenong road (just outside of chadstone), there was a female driver in her little holden astra, was applying lipstick (thats orright i guess)...BUT she had swivelled her rear vision mirror to face her (guess she doesn't have a visor mirror or doesn't like using it)...and to make it even worse, attempts to change lanes, most likely without checking any of her mirrors or the obligatory headcheck as she nearly caused a 4 car pileup. guess where she was going? chadstone shopping centre.
and still insurance company premiums charge us fellas more! (but then there are a lot more testosterone charged draggers/hooners out there on the roads).
imo, regardless of how much driving experience you have, you should never be complacent out there on the road. more often than not, someone else will cause the accident, but damage is damage. and your health is more important than being able to look like a fully sikkant driver steering with their knees while making obscene gestures with your hands at the ladies in the car next to you :) |

If THEY ever panic, you should do a dive out of the car i think :p
With my experiences of females driving a car, they panic at the most tiniest mistakes causing even more panic.. :o
just rip the handbrake if that happens, will save the trouble of removing parts out of the tree :p |

Insurance companies do everything by the numbers, and it comes down to more men have worse accidents in more expensive cars.
I know if I met me as a P plater driving around me now as a fairly experienced driver, I'd be scared. God I took some risks. I came out OK, but doing things like 120km/h in mud with the diff lock in and a 6' sheer drop off a few inches to either side of the car... I'm surprised I'm still alive, and that the worst accident I ever had was me doing a hundred meters or so down a dirt road on 2 wheels after discovering a cattle crossing in the middle of a corner.
Yeah, that's not representative of all P platers, but what it really comes down to is exactly as Webby says... P platers aren't experienced at unusual situations. |

hahahaha, na thats just you James!
One thing that does piss me off, yes i agree there are lots of wit P Platers, i also want to go and slash their tyres, but it's the general attitude held by the community that all P Platers a fkn morons.
EG. I got pulled over last year for speeding . . . . the car next to me (full licenced guy) was doing exact same speed, right in the lane next to me, I asked the cop why he didn't pull over the other guy, and he told me because I was a P Plater, I was more dangerous. Thanks alot you fkn tool.
So now I have to do the speed limit, esp up the mountains cause there are heaps of cops. Let me say, I usually get over taken by almost every car on the road, because everyone else thinks they can do more then the speed limit. But I ca assure you if I was speeding like them, they'd think I'm a P Plater.
School zones are fkn unbelievable! As I said i have to do 40km/h, but ffs, anyone behind me is on my fkn ass (so i slow down more to piss the ******s off), or they go past at about 60.
I can say with complete confidence Mothers with Kids in the car are by far the worst offenders, yet if anyone else decided to go fast, theyd be the first complaining, saying their kids are in danger from speeding.
The 0.00 alcohol limit is another state government up. What was the old limit? 0.02 . . how much is that? . . ALL! It was there to allow for stuff like mouthwashes and fruit cake.
But now peoples lives can be greatly screwed because of the new rule. If you cannot prove beyond doubt that you did not consume alcohol, you get a nice criminal record, a suspension of your licence, and a nice big fine. All for doing nothing wrong.
Anyway I have more to say but I have to go to work.
BTW does anyone know . . if i drive to Vic, do I still have to do 90km/h or so my NSW speed restriction not count . . . because the Vic cops can't charge me with NSW laws. Just wondering? |

Mothers With Kids are the most dangerous thing I've ever observed on a road. I've seen a mother only by luck miss 2 kids while she was speeding on the wrong side of the road to get to the head of the queue to pick up her kid. Unbelievable.
Far more dangerous than anything else on the road actually.
Oh, and 0.02 was actually introduced to allow tollerance for medicines that contain alcohol. So don't go driving if you have cough syrup, OK? Dangerous bastards who drive while whacked out on cough syrup. |
