Thank you.
who cares, as long as he doesnt play crap.
Geez!
some people are so serious on TA, dont get your panties tied up |
it's not about getting panties or boxers tied up.
a few people were saying how his mixing was awesome, etc...
if it's not really about being a good beatmatcher, then why pay so much to bring in out of town talent...anyone can play good tracks (especially when they are classic trance tracks that any trance lover knows are good)...it is the mixing that sets apart a good dj from any other dj.
people are allowed to have their own opinions good or bad...some people thought his set last night was awesome...others didn't...difference of opinion is what keeps a message board going. :) |

bottom line is he produces the "GOOD" music and plays it. Not every tom dick and harry can produce and dj, and market themselves as compared to these djs, they worked hard. I dont see mixing skills set as a specific about a dj
Its about the vibe, and whether he/she can make you move and its sounds good.
I didnt say you cant voice your opinion, i know it keeps the board going, that was my opinion!!! |

there are many International DJ's that produce and DJ their own music. and are also very good at it. Mixing skills are definitely an important part of being a DJ otherwise ANY tom, dick and harry can claim to be a DJ from the comfort of their own bedroom.

the "vibe" suffered because of his mixing. it was evident in the way the crowd reacted as a whole to his shotty mixing. people left the floor or just stopped moving altogether. as i said b4 he does have tallent, but he should not be praised on this night for his DJing skills. |

What a sick sick track. That and Beachball...two tracks I'm DYING to hear live. | Ohh man.. when he dropped it, i was up on stage solo, busting some moves, with the green laser shining at me from the other side of the room and a thick smoke cloud covering the crowd beneath me. I'll never forget that sight. :toocool: As for priorities, hell yeah, THAT WAS IT! :haha: |

omg, johan had massive dj skills, he had a few blah mixes that didn't take me away from the vibe at all, but he used the eq's and efx's so well throughout the night to create some very massive build ups thats are a lot better then many djs and that is why he has international success!!!
did he also play ligaya??? i think i remember hearing that... |

Great night.. for the short time i was there!.. i had to leave at around 2:30 am.. but i loved every minute of it. what a great set.. the opening dj i think did a good job.. it was a bit boring but it did manage to get people to start mingling in the main room :D
johan started it off nice and hard from the beggining.. which was great.. getting to the point :D
