i do not support the bombing af afghanistan, though i do understand those who do. i dont think bombing them would solve much, accept making the situation worse. this needs some rationally thought out desicion....
on a after thought...this may have been pointed out.
it was pointed out by one NYC police/fire officer that the date is 9/11---911. coincidence? |

| yah last time Osama tried this, he failed. I also saw on the news that this couldn't be him because it was too perfectly done or something. This attack was 100000 times worse then oklahoma bombing IMO. Oklahoma was one person and the deaths were in the hundreds in think. |

taub, i know you feel strongly about this, everyone, just try and understand that we shouldnt point fingers at any one just yet, let us just think of how many familes in america are feeling right now. an arguement in here is not going to help anything, so lets just leave it at that.

| it doesnt take a well trained solider to use a knife. i dont think the hundreds of serial killers who commit crimes each year took a night school course. bin laden brought it on himself when someone profess such a profound hatred for a nation who else do you think did it? the amish? |

People over the past years have been thinking of all Arabs as terrorists and this is going to make it even worse. Then when you see the people in that village on TV celebrating the attack, it somehow ignites a hatred for those kind of people in you for a minute. You then have to remind yourself thats prejudice and not all Arabs are terrorists, many of them are just like yourself.
People need someone to blame and many people are now blaming Arabs and some are even attacking people of Arab descent. This is wrong but people are very angry and this is how they are venting their anger.
IMO it was most likely Bin Laden and his groups but I'm still open to the fact that it very well could have been another group. I wouldn't blame anybody at the moment but I do have my suspicions as do most. |

i gave blood already.....ABT why you just taking one sided view? go start a new thread about them rejoicing about the bombing? why would anyone want that? its stupid to bomb Afgan and who ever crashed the planes was stupid to do that too....its the wrong step
the US and it would loose any allies in the middle east if it takes responsibility for these bombings....imagine the only allies the US having the middle east being Israil and Kuwait?....there are going to be some major problems...oil? no more of that |

This is the dark side of me but I would like to see somebody walk through that village and blow away all those people celebrating. Even though they may not exactly know what they're celebrating, anyone who would celebrate what happened today deserves to die IMO. |

word up ABT... Afgan is simply asking for it. About the anti-arab thing...remmeebr back in the day when....that US "spy" plane crashed over china? well, nothing really happened to any chinese people during the time after the incident (even asian club went off without a hitch ;)), and i honestly doubt any thing will happen to the arab population at school. anyway, i strongly agree with taub and his buddy about the racial thing. never blame only the arab world for terrorists.

| if afganistan is harbouring an international fugitive who may or may not have at least some information on these crimes and says hes not here when he has been spotted there recently then why shouldnt we use force? its obvious that these people will not reason peacefully and i hate to use this saying but desprate times call for deaprate measures |

doesnt kuwait hold a lot of major oil supplies....the reason we got involved in the persian gulf war bc Sadam had taken kuwait over...eventhough it was professed to be a humanitarian effort...to save the oppressed kuwaities. And america hasnt claimed responsibility for the bombings in afghan...id be suprised if we did it actually...the us will not bomb someone if they arent sure who did it...if we just bombed before finding out all the facts we would loose respect from a lot of countries...the same countries which now are on our side due to the travesty brought upon our country |
