| i dont agree with the US keeping to its self either.. but i do think that sometimes the US has a tendency to help a little to much. Or not help a little to much but tend to forget bout its own countries problems. |

well guys its been an interesting day... i am off to bed. i go to sleep in greif and mourning for those who lost loved ones do to this massive destruction. And i just realized something .. that i thought i would never say. theres no twin towers, the stock market is closed... and last but not least...NYC... the city that never sleeps.. is sleeping tonight:( :( :(

I watched the whole thing live on cable as it was happening and it's very very sad. watching the towers collapse was awful. Imagine all the people trapped inside and waiting to be rescued.
This was a cowardly and pathetic attack and whoever's responsible deserves whats coming to them. I have to say i am usually a bit sceptical of the US world politics as it usually does what suits it finacially and politically. (as in Bosnia...why didn't they intervene sooner? Because unlike Kuwait, Bosnia doesn't have any oil).
Nevertheless as much as the US has done some less then decent things in it's political history no one deserves what happened here. Attacking civilian targets and to this extent is just sad and weak. I fully support whatever reaction the US takes to this as it has every right to do whatever it needs to get justice. The problem is i hope they'll be able to differentiate from an individual and a country. If bin Laden is responsible send out The SEALS or a crack team of rangers and assasinate him (a nice touch) or send some scuds his way.
But don't go to war with a country that never was involved in the first place. I'm 99% sure that the arab countries really didn't have anything to do with this as it's not in their best interests. As much as many of them detest the US with a vengeance, they're not as stupid as to step on the toes of a fearsome giant that has a BIG club. It's asking for trouble you don't want and i doubt they're that fanatical.
My two cents worth anyways
We need to all pray that bush's analysts make the right decisions on who's responsible and we need to pray that bush can make the right decisions on what to do with that information so that the US may have it's revenge but the world doesn't plunge into a third world war.

I just wanted to say thanks to all of the people in other countries who are showing support for us here i the US. I'm way out here in California but these events we're still devestating to me and I'm glad to know that most of the rest of the world is on our side.
I also wanted to say to all the people who were earlier making up bull stories about deadly viruses in NY and bombing of Camp David, that is pointless and stupid of you.
While it may be too soon to think about this, I just wonder how all of the organizations that were based in the WTC will deal with this huge loss, both employee wise and all the documents lost. I can't possibly imagine what they will do without important records and documents. It's just mind-boggling.
But right now we need remember those who died and figure out what were are going to do to prevent further acts of terrorism on the US, as well as preventing WWIII (I think it's unlikely anyway).

Someone mentioned before that there probably wont be a war because Terrorists attacked the US and not a nation. Well, Bush clearly stated that he will not distinguish between the Terrorists and the nation behind it.
Things like this will never stop happening. There is a way around everything. Anything can be broken. The World Trade Center was broken today.
Things are made to be broken. Today was an awful display and it shouldnt happen this way, but it did. But whos to make the rules? No one could control this. Control is an illusion. |
