My brother sent me that link, I seen it earlier, I think their idea is beautiful. The land preservation that will be included in the area for the memorial IMO is a wonderful idea. It would take something awfully huge to get rid of those towers on that website. Incredibly awesome idea they have, and I did post to vote yes for it. Such a shame what caused it all and very horrifying. Nice though to know that maybe something really beautiful can come out of it in the end. I still think they should extract two American Flag poles somewhere in that area and make them tremendously high.
( My patronage went crazy when this happened, I had a website and everything. I cried daily and could not stop watching the news for about 3 weeks.)
Please, if you go to the website, vote for this ...it would be such a wonderful opportunity to see something nice come out of it by commemorating all of the lives that were lost. |

| i like how they will have a WTC Memorial Park with a tree planted for each individual person who lost their life that day..they even have plans to name each tree after that person with a small picture of them placed at the tree.....nice |

Pay for it just like they pay for any other big building...Get enough customers to sign up for leases so a bank/conglomeration will fork out the dough and start collecting checks from the tennants once it's built. It'd then take decades to start turning profit.
I like the idea...that style building or another with the memorial surronding/enhoused with it. Lots of these ideas presented are good...i voted for it.
The security stuff was a bit whacky...I'm sure internal could be great and external could be reduced, but there is always risk...but "sound waves that repel aircraft" I got to see this. Seeing I drive the big birds around, there isn't much that would "repel" us lest it's gonna bring us down. Wouldn't something so powerful have to obviously repel everything else...birds...vehicles on the ground...the surronding buldings....ROFL...I think restricted airspace is their only choice.
But overall...not a bad idea.

The building's look very nice and futuristic...but they don't suit the NYC skyline at all...I dunno, maybe in real life it will look much better, but now, it looks ho-hum.
As for the tree having a plac on it and everything...very nice and respectful idea...but, I wouldn't do it. I mean, do you really want people to be balling their eyes out each time they walk through the park? I think that just saying that each tree stands for each person that tragically lost their life is enough...the idea of specifying which tree represent's who isn't...it's not a cemetery. |

Hey
Did you realise that the guy who developed the concept is from Auckland New Zealand?
and im sure the radio wave business is some thing about using interference to imobilze the electrical systems on planes perhaph? it would have to be one freekin big soundwave to deflect an aircraft!!!, I think someone's been watching too much star trek.. |

Are there gonna be trees for the soldeirs who died fighting the war? what about the canadian soldiers the americans dropped a bomb on?
I think its an alright Idea, but a memorial wall is much more feasable than a tree for every person
and when will ppl realise that 3000 people isnt that bad? so many more die everyday in 3rd world, and they cant do a thing about it. meh... If rent were affordable, id live there |
