JUST A REMINDER!!!
if anyone is interested, tryouts for US Open ballpeople are this THURSDAY THURSDAY THURSDAY at 4 PM at the US national tennis center (across from shea stadium, home of the NY Mets) in queens!!! rain or shine! if u have any questions, please PM me.

yeah last year during men's semis... andy roddick vs david nalbandian. very first roddick service game, he cranks one about 120 out wide. hits me like one or two inches below the nutsac, right on my thigh. after that i was fully awake for the rest of the match. i was still groggy, even tho it was a late match...
and once during warmups, i wasn't paying attention while the players were practicing their serves. i was hit right in the side and i got the wind knocked out of me. the crowd in grandstand gasped. a crewmember imitated the look on my face as i got wrecked. it was priceless :) |

Oh man Poor trunks. REally must of sucked. At least your still cool with the sport. I dont like baseball becuase I got hit on the nut sack by someone batting. Really painfull experience. Anyways good luck to you and hope you dont get hit.;) |

| I would definitely have gone to tryouts if i lived closer to the stadium. i live too far away, it'd be a huge pain. |

u're in jersey right? a lot of the people that work at the open come from ny's surrounding suburbs. |

Just don't get hit by a serve by Andy Roddick this year, cuz that mofo could crank one up at about 130+ nowdays (I think his record is 153??? but they said the radar gun was not too accurate) |

oh usually that's when when they hit it down the center (the T) of the court if u will. it's a lot harder to crank it out wide, so the speed will be around 120, tops. yeah 153... i'm not afraid... after it hits the court, top speed in the 70s anyway. it's a little bit easier to handle :) |
