US Open (Tennis) Ballperson Tryouts

hey TAs,
as some of you guys know, i'm a ballboy at the us open, and have been since 1998. if you or someone you know is interested in possibly becoming a ballperson, tryouts are THIS THURSDAY, july 1, 2004 at the USTA (across from shea stadium) in flushing meadows corona park. the tryouts start at 4 pm, rain or shine. all you really need are sneakers and gym-stuff if you wanna be comfy. if there's any questions or such, give me a PM and i can answer the questions for you. hope to see some of you guys there!

vlad, if u can throw the length of a tennis court on once bounce, u'd be fine... don't necessarily have to run, because i stopped doing net a while back. i'm on the corner of the courts, giving the players the tennis balls on their serve. as for requirements... as long as u're older than 12. heh. that's about it.
i might also add that the us open runs from august 24 - september 12 this year... yes, it's three weeks, because the first week is qualifying (and not shown on tv) |

LOL. do it for three weeks, sometimes 14 hours a day (not all that time is spend on court), and u tell me if it's easy... |

Trust me bro, Im so eager to work... I love to be active, I hate sitting at work and doing absolutely nothing. Sounds preposterous, but yes. |

| last year was $7.75 an hour, with either 10$ (for under 18) or 15$ (over 18) given for food per day. free gear as well. |
