Anyone who watches B.E.T. and thinks that's how black people are, are dumb.

Anyone who watches Telemundo and thinks that's how spanish people are, are dumb.

Anyone who watches MTV & thinks that's how white people are (even though the majority of MTV is bicultural now unlike in the eighties), are dumb.

Anyone who watches a Bruce Lee movie and thinks that's how asian people are, are dumb.

Fact is, yes there are people like this. And even though I think the way media portray's things may not always be right, when people start believing that what they see on TV is the way people are, then there is seriously something wrong with them. People have to remember that TV was & is done for entertainment, not to depict an entire race of people.

Its not about race. Its about money. Black ann whites and I am sure every race likes money. The channel is prob 10% cares about black people because all the stuff shown and 90% money. I seen some infomecial with some white d00d selling crap late a night once on that channel.

http://www.gibbsmagazine.com/BET%20SOLD.htm

"
Viacom, in announcing the reason for this buyout, said that the African American TV market is growing faster than the general market; their ad-directed market is also growing faster than the general market. So they want to get in on this growing market."

This channel has a greater importance than race

I just watched this movie called "everyday people" and it shows black people like talking to each other to better themselves due to the young Afrcian america's. They were throwing out the N word like it meant nothing to them. I say no one should say the N word because it just bad news from the beginning of the word. Plus it was a MOVIE I watched. Whooaaa that damn media got me again felling sorry for every race or emotional but when I am working I deal with everyday right in front of my face people. I am nice if you knew me so you(anyone) treats me nice then i do the same. You treat me poor you get poor no matter what race. TV is meant to make money and well throw in some culture also to make that extra Dollar

BET is essentially WET, or white entertainment television

white people who DO (not every white person obviously) watch BET are being entertained by the thug mentality and gangster rap bling bling stereotypes of black people that help BET cash in on the dough
{b.s.e.}
WET?
TET?
TBT?
TBS.

Well, this is what happens when all the multiculturalists run around pretending that race = culture.

'Oh Snap', in accordance to the parliance of our times.

'Tis true, but you all have to remember, societal problems run deep - and it IS TELEVISION we are discussing. Of course it's stupid. That's its job|

Oh hell yeah, the chicks on Spanish tv are hot. It's like watching soft porn. :p

I don't really like BET primarily because I don't like black comdedians (except dave chappelle). The routine generally consists of:

1. A joke about how white and black people are different, mainly because white people are boring and soul-less.
2. A joke about the condition of black culture, which no white man could ever say for fear of his life.
3. Stereotying of more cultures, and then contrasting it with black culture.
4. A joke having to do with crime.
5. Yelling, mixed with unintelligable babble.

And so on and so forth. They pretty much just propagate all of the negative black stereotypes without actually ever being funny.

derr...your list is exactly what dave chappelle does in his routines too along with his show...i mean come on every single one of his shows on comedy central ALWAYS deals with stereotypes that you claim "other" black comedians do like the racial draft for example...dave chappelle is no better than any other black comedian IMO except he just happens to have his own show
