No....YOU are keeping you down. All my black friends are quite successful in their own right and have learned to adapt to today's workforce and take advantage of what's offered to them, even if it does come harder to get which is not what I've seen personally.
I'm asian and people clammor over hiring me to do for them. It's not because I'm asian, it's because I'm in' really good at what I do. My friends range from black to white to jewish to asian to purple people eaters and we've left behind all the idiots that promote themselves as thugs long ago, professionally and on a personal level.
Does that make me better than them? Ummmmmm, you bet your ing ass it does. I've made it, I got a house, a career and a vast opening in front of me that just calls for me to do whatever it is I feel like doing in life. The thugs....yeah, their stuck....being thugs. How fun.
BET and MTV will never go away. They may evolve one day but I don't see it doing that anytime soon. Until they do, I choose not to watch or pay attention. I'm too smart to think that all black people are indignant morons, pissed at the "Man" and have no clue how to pronounce the word "ask" or "teeth" properly. |

| The man doesn't hold me down. I go to the best school in the state, maintain at least a 3.0, am in the top ten percent of my class, and i plan on going to a good college and doing many things. It's not I who I worry about, it's about the people around me who don't know any better. They're not smart enough to realize that they can do something with their lives. Society and the media help brainwash people into thinking that the fake crap is the only that they can be important in the world. Instead of calling them stupid and saying that your better than them (which doesn't help) u should try to change the way things are for the betterment of everyone else. An entire enlightened society benefits us all. |
