Well...Noah, Jeff, at least they rhyme.

Wow.

I don't even know where to start.

First, let me thank you Boa for giving the Toronto scene a fresh change. It is exactly what we needed. Although I have only been partying for 2 years, I have been to many parties, and let me tell you that in my opinion, no other parties even come close to this one.

Before the night was even half done, I knew my favourite deejay had become Danny Tenaglia, and my favourite club had become Boa.

Danny T is a genious. He layed down some of the dirtiest tribal tracks I have ever heard. His programming was AMAZING. I danced for almost 10 hours non stop. That has never and probably will never happen again (unless of course he comes back :D).

The crowd was the best I've ever seen. I did not see ONE sketchy case except for an unfortunate scene Silke and I witnessed on the patio at the end of the night.

The clubs of Toronto should take a good look at the staff of Boa. Finally I felt that my attendance at a club was appreciated by the staff. Every other club I've gone to, I've been given the impression that the staff thought I was lucky to be there. :wtf:

It was awesome to see Aaron and Erika out for the first time in a while. And Erika, I really meant what I said about you and Tara, it's just not the same without the PLUR tag-team in action!

Talked to and met MANY TAs that night. I danced with Jeff, Sam, Aaron, Max, Erika, Tara, and Nathalie for most of the night.:stongue: Dancing on the podium with Sam and Max was quite the riot. Seeing the whole place going nuts to that music was absolutely amazing.

At about 11.30 or 12.00pm I rested for the first time. Spent about from that time till the end of the night having some very good conversation with Silke. It was very nice out at about that time, but in my state of mind, I guess I forgot that sun can burn your skin! :whip: :whip:

The only few minor complaints/suggestions I have about Boa are:

- The lineups for the bathroom
- Something needs to be done about the stairs. Although I love the layout, coming in from outside to a dark club blinds you, and when you have stairs, things can get a bit hectic. Myself and many people can say that at least a few times in the night coming in from outside they had to feel their way around, and sometimes even stumbled on a step falling onto someone. If someone was really ed up they could hurt themselves on those things.
-Speakers outside? I know that it would be hard due to zoning laws.

I just got the same tingles and shivers down my spine when i downloaded the TRACK OF THE NIGHT just now!!!

Get it people - you will all remember this one.

Shapeshifters - Lola's Theme

You're definately right man, this was one of them. There was one more that I'm still trying to figure out. Jen, if you remember, it was the one when we were chilling in the VIP room and I said, "this is my calling" and left :stongue:

And "FloorWhore", you're on probation with your new name. I can't believe YOU of all people left early for some chick! You were SO hyped for this event! Until you prove yourself again, you will only be known as "Whore" :stongue:

Boa, [b]PLEASE get this man back as soon as possible. Guv or System could bring any (or as many) deejays as they want, but if DT as at Boa the same night, Boa is where I'd be.

Wednesday night was not a party, it was an experience.

Ok, now time for my long over due review.
This party was in my opinion the most hyped up party i have attended in some time, maybe ever. Everyone i had talked to for the week prior to this were so hyped, and most had never even heard the man live. As excited as i was for this, i couldnt even get myself in the right mindset to lay my head to my pillow, so i hopped to a local bar had a few drinks and i was off.

The pre-meet at Bird was great. To see everyone as excited as they were was awesome, and even though it was a short stay, it was a great way to kick off the night. Great to see Erika (Pixiechick) after her lengthy time away planting trees! It was great to see you. After a few drinks there, me and the dozen or so TA's made our way down to Boa (speed walking styles). Sorry to leave you there Silke, YOU WERE SLACKIN!!!! (jk).

We got to Boa, at around midnite and made our way to the lineup. Line wasnt bad at this point, but it took a while for them to open up. Im sure it was just Danny trying to perfect the sound. Finally, doors open at 12:45 and we make our way in. Most of the TA's who were attending this were Boa first-timers, and i just loved the reactions to all of you absorbing that killer sound system. Totally priceless.

Danny started off the night killing the sound about two tracks in. He then got on the mic, and told us he was going to come out and say hi to everyone. Myself, Graham and Aaron were standing on the platform (just left to the dj booth) when Danny walked right up to me. He nugged me on the arm and said Hey buddy, hows it goin - Im Danny". Totally stunned that he stopped to chat with me, i introduced myself and told him it was a pleasure to have a dj of his calibur grace us on Canada Day. He told me he was VERY impressed with the club and its sound, but was a little weary of the position of the booth. I replied "im sure you'll manage". Danny gave a little chuckle, and went back to greeting his eager fans.

The tempo of the music to start was fairly chill. Some classic house sounds for about a half hour, and then began the tribal sounds he is truly infamous for. Ripping baselines, with crazy synths laying over top of them, the sounds were breathtaking at times. He seemed hesitant to really test the massive system, actually came out of the booth to check the levels, and then proceeded to crank it up a little more. His crowd interaction was unlike any others ive witnessed. Getting on the mic, asking us if we're having a good time, introducing tracks occasionally, and of course his patented light shows with the flashlight.

The vibe in that mainroom was something ive never experienced before. Sketch factor was so low, and people were just in awe of Danny's relentless skills. Flawless mixing, along with the most unique tracklist of music ive ever heard had most of us speechless. Dancing non stop and spilling more water than EVER before, i had to take a trip outside for some fresh air.

Around 6:30am Callie5, newr, The Highroller, and Diginut went back to my car for a smoke break and i opted for the change of clothes. Slipped on my Danny T in To t-shirt (thanks Rony) and we were back heading towards the club just before 7:00am

Thats when my second gear kicked in, and i realized how friggin hot it was in there!!! My god. I was in a fresh shirt and socks, and within 10 minutes i was drenched again! Danny at this point was a little more upbeat, and gettin REAL dirty. It was almost like he knew exactly when to crank the energy levels when the crowd started to slow down a little. I danced non stop for another 4 hours or so, drank about 10 glasses of ice water and eventually took a seat.

I met this girl by the back bar in the upper area who was also taking a break for the first time that morning. We went back outside for another smoke break around 11:30 and went to my car, passed out in the backseat immediately after. I dont know if it was the heat or what, but i passed COMPLETELY out. Next thing you know, i wake up and im in her appartment parking lot....IN OAKVILLE! She said she didnt wanna wake me and that she needed something to eat, so she decided to drive to her place. We went up, she made an amazing lunch, and we then passed out for the afternoon. The end.

SPECIAL THANKS - To Rony and Carey for truly outdoing yourselves in organizing the pre meet @ Bird, and supplying t-shirts for those who came early! Never in my life have i seen this kind of care from club owners, and i know after this night you'll have a lot more TA Boa regulars from this day forward. To all of those who came to this party, i told you it would be worth it. I would easily pay that kind of cash again to experience a night as classic as this one was.

In my defense Graham, i WAS planning on coming back. I had the in and out pass and everything! I dont know how i passed out so easily. And im pissed, cause i heard the last 2 hours were phenomenal!!! And for the record.....i think for the eleven hours i was there i DEFINATELY lived up to the name. LOL. :tongue2

Ha! Jeff got kidnapped!!

Erika...are you going back to planting trees again, or are you back for the rest of the summer?

It was also good meeting everyone else that I met - HIGHroller, Noah, and, ummm, NOT SILKE!

I swear this club has been kicking it since day 1, and it's definately really something special. The onis is now on us as the club going public to make it one of the best vibes in the world as a place to party, and more nights like yesterday at Tenaglia, will only help the club, Toronto's scene, and scratch our need for wikked nights out partying.
Tenaglia, Hawtin, Sven or Cox, Oakenfold and Armin all on the same day! I never thought I'd see Toronto at the top again!

^^^^^
We definitely blew the top off the number one city for the night meter!!!! :)

The way I left @ like 11:30ish? sorta bothered me actually... Didn't say goodbye to any of my friends or anything, it was like all of a sudden I was back in my car, and I wasn't sure how exactly I'd gotten there...

So I apologize to everyone I may have slighted in my departure, it was definitely not done intentionally!

Hrrm... now I have to track down people who I intended to see at some other point in time but forgot to get the numbers of, I hate it when that happens!
