I totally agree. That part of the game is still really goddamn creepy. :nervous:
Thankfully, if you've played it all the way through and you want to play it again, you can just skip right over chapters. :toothless

F.E.A.R. is the new king of horror games.
If you haven't played it yet, go get it...NOW. The firefights are hands-down the best in any first or third person shooter, EVER.
And there's plenty of freakass that'll have you on your heels the whole way.

I dont play that many scary-esque games like resident evil etc. But Atm im playing FEAR and its got an awsome chilling atmosphere that really keeps u alert to everything....
The only time i think i actually jumped while playing a game was dino crisis on ps1, the raptor came thru the window and i fell back off my chair brining the controller and playstation with me :stongue: Bastards!
Also silent hill 2....i got it the day it came out and still havent completed it cause it freaks me out!! Seriously wtf is with the walking leg thingys....christ!

i love playing silent hill at night really creapy
i could compare it with resident evil..

overall im gonna say the silent hill series like many others, but out of them there was one level which was superior. the dark hospital in the third game. when you see those monsters turning knobs and stuff, and you climb the ladder and by the time you're there the world goes t. i loved how the walls were moaning/bleeding/burning.
proper messed up.
the suffering had its moments like when that 'face' flashes on the scren at times and that. but overall it was way too fun to play through to actually be scary. if there was less action then it might have been 'scary'
i have yet to make any progress on project zero/fatal frame, the puzzles were too much for me, but of what i played it seemed great.
alone in the dark i played for 5 mins and its been gathering dust ever since.
resident evil outbreak was a load of kack, it was so hard to play with others, and the regenerating enemies and a time limit made it even worse. code veronica x i got to tyrant and just couldnt beat him so gave up and havent touched it since.
and i got resi 4 today, and it rules!

Definitly Silent Hill 2. Kudos to AVP2's Marine campaign and Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines' Hotel area.

avp and half-life (both 1&2) are the pretty scary
In fact in both the games, the most little creatures make you scared. (the facehoppers and the headcraps)

I recorded this very quick video clip from DOOM3...
I walked into a bathroom....and, well...see for yourself.
