you run around as a gril in some old haunted house looking for evidence in your brothers disappearance. you take lots of pictures btw. it gets old IMO, but its has some scarier moments. some real scary though, is your avater :eyespop: |

wow undying was so good and so scary... pity only 10 people bought it, since there was a sequel in the works.
system shock 2 was extremely scary when played with the volume high up, because you could hear your enemies long before you could see them, and there were a ton of freaky environmental things like explosions and hidden turrets, not to mention hearing a sentry camera beep and have no idea where it was. the invisible spiders were the scariest enemy I have ever played in a computer game!
AVP marine campaign got too repetitive too quickly
another very scary game: THEY HUNGER half life mod; that was intense. |

| I'm playing Silent Hill 4 right now and it's pretty scary, it creates a great scary atmosphere during the whole game. |

Haven't played Silent Hill 3 & 4 though... :(
But I finished Silent Hill 1 on PS at least 8 times, fun and scary. :) |

Alone in the Dark for 3D0 :toothless
but seriously my only 2 consoles that are "cutting edge" are 3D0 and PS1.
Silent hill 1 was pretty scary, but i never got to beat it because it was stolen :mad: :( , I have Resident Evil 3:Nemesis but i've never played it.
Dino Crisis was jumpy and exciting but not really scary per se.
My roommate agrees to get Silent Hill 4 for PS2 (because he has one) as long as I play it with him watching me :p |

it was a recommendation and the guy was right!
sounded stupid when he was explaining it (taking pictures of ghosts but you really get into it)
i was thinking of getting RE but you get tired of it, same over and over again.
put this game on the big screen, volume up, lights OFF!
a ing thrill!
and an old school scary game was Friday the 13th, exporing the cbins the WHAM jason that mofo cleaves your shoulder off! |

AVP2 and System Shock 2 without contest. The panic in AVP when you hear a blipping, see a facehugger run around... I just did like the people in the movie - randomly fired with my pulse rifle and then died.
RE2 is also close. Holy when that monster jumps through the wall in the next room after you kill him... :nervous: |
