Well, after not clubbing for a few months, the Sasha & Porter Massive Summer Spin was just what i needed to get my music fix. Got in the club around 11:00 after a brief wait in line. Guv looked good initally, and the music was jamming. At some point i guess they just figured everyone who could afford the $20 should be let in, and the club quickly got crammed. Mark Oliver spun a solid warm up set, after which Porter came on and just kicked it up a notch with his smooth blend of progressive,tech-house and even some tribal cuts thrown in there. That set the stage for Sasha ( who like most superstars turned up 30 minutes late for his set ). Thankfully, unlike his airdrawndagger set, on this night Sasha did turn up, ready to play some choons. And boy did he...some absolutely great tracks too. Personally, i love the sound he's pushing right now. That airy mix between progressive and breaks does it for me everytime.
A few negative points to go along with what was otherwise a solid night of clubbing. Guv was packed...i know, it's been said before...and it'll be said again...seems ticket sales are more important then the comfort and safety of clubbers inside. The crowd was generally good, except for a few elements who figured it was an appropriate method of travelling through packed crowds by raising their elbows and just pushing everyone that happened to cross their path. Yeah, the juice monkeys are obnoxious and should all die...again, nothing new here.
And so that brings me to the last bit to top of this review...here's a few choons that i did manage to trainspot during the course of the night. ( Porter, Sasha and Mark Oliver combined )

Sasha dropped some sick breaks tracks as well...one which he spun on his last EM ( baleric breaks track ) alone made my night. |

Definately the highlight of the night for me. I think that was the best opening of a set I've ever heard last night.

okee here's my review!
Actually is started out the night, clubbin at a little club called "Ivory" on yorkville for my sisters b-day. Afterwards, headed to Guv, got there around 1:30AM. The entire night gets a "not bad" thumbs up.
It was rammed, it was hot, it was grimy, it was and the people standing around or bumping into you all took chips away from the vibe. However, despite it all, TA's still made the party a good time for me.
Much thanks goes out to all you guys and gals who made it a good time. Its always a pleasure partying with you guys.
