Review: Sasha @ Guv (pg. 5)

Well, I must say -- even though Sasha is STILL my favourite, Steve Porter definitely pounded harder and that kept me going.

Obviously, Guv -- way too packed as usual, too many s walking around all over the place (even at the end of the night one of the bartenders was giving me attitude 'cause I wanted a glass of ice-water from the tap instead of buying another bottle (I lost mine to Rich ;) ) )

Ok.. the SOUND in the Guv --- SUUUUUCKKS!!! I guess it's to be expected after hearing the sound @ Boa. The only thing the Guv has going for it, personally, is the Lasers.... THAT'S IT!

Anyway, enough of that.

It was nice to meet some new TA's and some non-TA's as well. Shouts to Trancechaos, UkranianStud, VickyVale, Kytracid (am I forgetting anyone?) And the Non TranceAddict duo Laurie and Brian! I hope you two had a great time last night and at the Indy this weekend! And it's all Christina's fault by the way -- she really wanted to meet you guys but was too shy ;)

Nice to see all the regulars there as well! I probably should have stayed till 6 'cause apparently Sasha killed it the last hour or so... but I ended up leaving at 5 -- I was running low on juice...

Next stop -- James Lavelle @ System... hope to see everyone there (and that includes all the new people I met last night!)

I just wanted to know how they ended up there! There was actually quite a bit of people who seemed of a much older generation there, and I think thats great!

Screw it- too fawkin packed in there to enjoy it at all- asked bouncer to 'throw us out' the patio doors rather than make us go thru the club at 3am. Waste of my time & $$$.

sorry we didn't say goodbye.

followed same procedure.lo:D

My first time seeing one of my favs and mixxed feelings, somewhat because of the atmosphere...i was right at the front having a great time but it was waaaay toooo hott and my friend kept bitching and crying to leave so i had to go at 5am...  He played pretty good but Porter impressed me.

Like floorwhore said about the stupid ass crancky bitches, just damn ignorant they are, but at the same time i saw alot cool people just having a plain old good time like it should be.

This was my first time venturing into the infamous guv. I agree with what has been said about the packedness. I think I lost about 10lbs it was so bloody hot in there.

But despite the hellish heat and the inappropriate touching and the pushing and the whistlers and the horns I still managed to have a good time and meet some really cool people :D ( not going to dare trying to name names because I would fail miserably.) It was awesome to see all of you!

short and sweet:

bad crowd. too many people wandering aimlessly.
TAs are awesome.
Sasha was decent. 'Spektrum - Kinda New (Tiefshwarz mix)' love that track. Great hearing Burma and Watching Cars Go By as well.

Great seeing the TAs, some old and some new. :)

A lil late, but my review...

I didnt really think the night was THAT packed... a bit worse than when pvd was here on the 24th... I say this because i went to see tiesto in june and that completely redefined the term "packed" for me. It was MUCH worse that night. But still, saturday was still more busy than i would like.

The people, i dno, for some reason were SO IN RUDE!!!... Like what happend? I dont ever remmeber the crowd at the Guv being that pushy and inconsiderate, i wanted to hit many ppl... hehe maybe because there wasnt any trance & the trance fans are nicer =P

The music... well i think Stever Porter was really good.. i liked what he was playing. Two thumbs up =) Hopefully, someone brings him back to TO soon.... Sasha, for the first hour and a half, was really boring and was puttin me to sleep... He picked it up at about 4ish,started playing a few tracks i thought were good, but still not enough IMO. My gf and I were really tired tho... left at lil b4 5, sadly this is when some of you say the set really good =( But there really wasnt anything there that night that made me wanna stay.
