780 Verbal
540 Math
1320 Total
I suck at math. Bad. :nervous:
I also did my first two years of college in my junior and senior year of college, though. (Yes, I was a freshmen in college at 16.) I've got this coming year to finish, and then I graduate. I turn 20 next Monday. I'll be done with college before I'm 21. |

clearly... and i thought you were a mere nittany lion ...
for the record:
SATs were first created to judge the chances of scholastic success during a student's first year in college: nothing more and nothing less (GREs were meant to judge success during one's first year of grad school, etc.). In essence, they give overburdened college admissions officers a method of being lazy by establishing arbitrary cut-off levels.
SATs, like most standardized tests, don't mean because in addition to being culturally biased, they are skewed to favor socieconomic groups that have the means and wherewithal to hire private tutors, enroll in prep. courses, and take advantage of other similar entitlements. In other words if you can afford to do well you most likely will.
Given the astronomically high SAT scores that have been posted in this thread one might be tempted to correlate listening to trance with academic achievement... either that or a bunch of people stroking their internet pen0rs. |

Well, I took the SAT the first time and got a 1220, without much studying. The thing that pisses me off is before the second time I took it, I studied my ass off and even took a SAT prep course. Needless to say I was one of the select few whose scores from that test got stuck in NJ due to an anthrax scare.
So none of us ever got those scores back, and quite frankly if I ever meet the ass that ed me over(unlikely but..) I'm goin to beat the out of him.
The third time I was hungover as , did better on the verbal but somehow worse on the math. So I only scored a 1230.
So to agree with those who have posted before me, I too despise standardized tests. Although not to play the devils advocate, but IMHO if you cant study enough to get at least a 1000, your a damn idiot, and need to learn some discipline. |

800 math and 670 verbal five years after graduating from high school and three years since looking at anything remotely academic...
goes to show that standardized tests your ability to fill bubbles. its a poor indicator of your abilities and even poorer indicator of how well you will do in college. i scored slightly less but still impressively back in high school, but it didn't prevent me from getting the boot from berkeley... :whip: :whip: :whip:
hopefully i can be a little more focused when (and if) i get my second chance :D |
