I can't really remember what I got on my SAT (took it 4 years ago). I think it might have been in the 1200-1300 range.
I got a 12 on my MCAT with a 'N' for writing sample though. (13PS,13BS,10VR)/3
I still can't believe I did so well, even 2 months after I got my scores back. If I could find some scholarships though I wouldn't have to dish out 24k for the first year and have to live on the street or in my car. |

I think you just might be upset becuase your IQ isn't in the 98+ percentile.
It's ok, really. |

| I could come off as an arrogant prick by posting my ACT / GPA / MCAT but what's the point, really? |

how do you know i'm not a member? mensa is probably a better measurement than the SAT, but it's not like taking mensa makes you anything special...
edit: HAHAHAHAHA i like how you edited your post...i was thinking of pointing that out, but didn't want to get all the crap associated with being a grammar nazi...
yep you're a genius alright.. |

Exactly. Make a mistake, correct it. Try new things, evaluate, learn from the results, optimize, improve.

One doesn't "take mensa", and further I would disagree - having ANYTHING in the top 98 percentile is special. |

bla bla bla...lets not get lost in wording. let me rephrase...
it's not like "qualifying" for mensa makes you anything special...
i know the process of becoming a member and you can't tell me that just as in any test...you can train yourself to recognize and solve the types of questions that are asked...
that's what makes tests like the SAT...ACT...GRE... anything else a poor judge of intelligence...because anyone can study their ass off and pass it with flying colors... |

What if you are in the top 98th percentile of, say, weight? I guess that would signify you as 'special', if by special you meant extremely unhealthy and prone to early diseases and death.

Didn't exert myself, at all. Just wanted to break 1200 to go to Stony Brook.
Got a 1260. |

OK USA... Go on debunking IQ and it's validity. Again – it’s ok.
Don’t misunderstand me - I'm not saying that high IQ = success. IQ is intelligence, logic, and reasoning ability.
Success takes on a completely different form (refer to my previous post about “do, evaluate, learn, re-do” for a simple strategy for success) and isn't dependent on IQ (IMO). |
