I'm in for sure, made up my mind with the help of The Highroller and Sly_Guy.
Okay kiddies, I was planning to go to MTL for AvB July 2 but DT punished me too much!!! I've done some research already so here's what I know:
JetsGo - $70 one-way (economy class) + landing taxes [s/b around $90]
VIA - w/ISIC $145 two-way (economy class), w/o $190-something
Bus - approx $120 two-way
Car Rental - if you get 4 ppl in a car and rent a Ford Taurus from Enterprise, it'll work out to around $80/person (price includes gas, kms, rental amoritized 3 days [i.e. It's like $80/3 days = $25/day per person ---> very economical!!! :D])
You own Car - EVEN BETTER
If people are serious about going, I would be glad to help organize things.
As for a hotel, there are plenty around downtown. I was in MTL in Jan and actually stayed right by the Bell Center (Marriott). The only thing is, you should book EARLY, like at least 3 weeks in advance... When I wanted to go in early July, there were no relatively cheap places to stay around downtown (Days Inn styles) by the middle of June.
I can keep going on and on about the travel and accommodation cost but there's no point now... But if we have enough people willing to pull off the mission (4 is enough for me), I don't mind helping out organizing this adventure. |

| A Taurus uses one tank each way, the tank is 63L. The car is big enough for 4 people, or 3 little people in the back, so 5 is very possible. The ride is very comfo and can take as little as 4h non stop (aka 140Kmh-all-the-way). |

If everyone else wants to (and I hope they do), I would LOVE to go to Aria on friday.

| is anyone planning on going just to catch dave clarke? i'm not that big on the cream line-up, and i don't want to miss nu-nrg again. i would love to see aria, especially with dc on the decks, then come back to toronto to see him again :D |

| Im definately in for Dave Clarke, and i like the group of people steppin up for this one! This is gonna be one sick trip people. Id like as many TOTA's to hit this as possible, and its nice were all talking fairly serious with quite a bit of time to plan. |

| The only proper way to get there is a rented out bus with a generator, so you can have some turntables hooked up the whole way there. 6 hours on the yellow bus? That's plenty of tune time. |

I stayed at Hotel Du Nouveau when me and my crime partners went for Armin@Aria event cpl weeks ago...def is a good place to stay..why??
1) free breakfast in the morning (Loved the fresh orange juice in particular)
2) Right Next to Bell Centre
3) Not too Far from downtown i.e St. Catherines where all the action is
And yes...a good looking nerdy receptionist.. :D |
