half life 2 for me blows away doom 3. graphics and environments are there cranked up and top notch. quality
doom 3 looks nice also but lacks the depth and vast open environements and realism plus it's closed in on tight corridors. what fun is that? |

| Half-Life 2. The original was the first game to truly captivate me. Doom 1 n 2, were quite e really. HL2 all the way :D |

| Not even a contest, Doom 3. HL2 movies have been heavily scripted, and the makers at Valve have been lieing blaming leaked source code for a later release date. Nobody EVER steals 2/3 of the source code, it's either all or none. |

I think graphicly Doom 3 looks better, but from what I've seen the physics engine in HL2 looks far superior (tho maybe id just havn't shown their's off to the full extent yet).
