Why would anyone really care how many posts that they have?
I know I don't.
I have only ever posted in the chillout room. That is where I attained my Hungry TranceAddict stattus and I am not about to change forums just because my post count stopped cause I only post in the chillout room. And the C.O.R. has always been for pleasure. Why else would somebody stay here for a long period to get their post count up. I mean come on.....People seriously don't do that. Do they? |

I know you have a point by writing what you are writing.....but that doesnt prove that you are right. I dont know what happened really......i dont know why you all of a sudden want to leech and not respond.....i dont know why you want to leave.......but some of the things you write are kinda....i dont wanna say "childish" but perhaps "weird"....ive always respected you and the other mods....you always made sense and so on.....All of a sudden...instead of helping us getting a better forum......you want to leave? I had this idea for quite some time now... how about making something like a second status... so one U can edit Urself, the other is made by either the mods (they choose Ur rank as an addict and a member of this board) or by public poll... so ppl would vote for your status (just add the "I don't know him/her" option for those U might not know..)
then again, about posts, it is better to move them to the profile. but keep the status |

| I must say that I never got the idea behind the post counter in the first place. Because you have more posts than me, does it mean that you are a better person than I am? Does it mean that you know more about trance or electronic music than me? In one thread someone turned on a newbie and said something like, "You don't know what you're talking about....you only have 15 posts". How lame is this?!? If Ferry Corsten posted his first post, would you say he knew nothing about trance 'cause he has no posts? If Albert Einstein, (re-incarnated of course) came on line and expressed his views on relativity, would you call him an idiot on the subject 'cause he has a low post count?!? I don't really care what happens to the post counter, but I do feel that people should stop judging other people purely on that basis. Anyway, what do I know, I have less than 100 posts......he he he he |

Gambit you are right...just because someone has a low post count doesn mean that he/she doesnt know much....but....please read my Example i posted.......1 or 2 pages back....THATS why i want to keep the post count...... |

ok Swamper that a god idead..i like it...but i was thinking what do we do if a newbie comes on the forums and we dont know if hes new or what so we can help him out....he/she will feel kind of dum i guess :P

Couldn't the newbies just ask? They're new to the forums, not life. I'm sure they've got basic social skills by the time they arrive (unlike myself :p).
How many people here can honestly say that their opinion of somebody is based on their post count? All the regulars know who they like and who they don't, and who's helpful and who spams. Their post count makes no difference at all.
Somebody mentioned that post counts help tell the difference between newbies and regulars - but why would we ever want to know that anyway? The regulars know other regulars, and newbies couldn't care less. |

why do u feel the newbies need to be seperated from the regulars? who cares whos what? if u are a regular u should know who the regulars are. if someone has 500+ post id hope ud remember thier after seeing it 500+ times. if u see a name youve never seen before do u really need a post count next to it to know they are prolly new? but like i said why does it matter? |
